JP3 eventual UE? - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

JP3 is out on Dec 11, huzzah! i didnt think much of the lost world, but i'd like to have the whole series now, just for a sense of completion. and on further refelction, to paraphrase charlie brown, it wasnt such a bad little film after all.
i know that JP and Lost World UEs have been discusses before, but i dont think JP3:UE has been. since JP3 was not a speilberg movie, can we expect a JP3:UE eventually after the Collector's Edition?
as far as i know speilberg put his foot down and said that JP and LW discs were the definative versions and no more 'specialer' editions were to ever be released, but speilberg didnt direct this latest one so could we see Universal doing their standard CE then UE thing a few months later?

I doubt it, if you go to one of the JP3 unofficial sites there's info on what will be on there. Only time there would maybe be an UE is when Jp4 comes out. SPielberg has already said there will be a Jp4 and he says they've already got a basic story line of it.

I doubt we will see a JP3 UE anytime soon. Though Spielberg didn't direct it, he did executive produce the thing, so he has some control over it.

Though, eventually, I would not be surprised in a few years to see all 3 or 4 films in one set.

Did Spielberg really say there would be no rerelease? And which DTS version of the first film is the "definitive" one?
