Legend

I have been waiting for the release of Legend with Tom Cruise and Tim Curry. Any news on it's release? They've been holding it back for like a year or more now...

At Comic Con Ridley Scott's DVD Producer Charles De Lauzirika said that they were working on the 2-disc set of Legend, and that it's coming. I just hope they have it out by Christmas if possible.

They are currently working on Legend as of right now, along with Bladerunner SE!

Legend is one of those titles that has been announced and delayed and cancelled and recalled so they can put 'newly discovered footage' on the disc almost as many times as Star Wars and Back To The Future. a date should be announced within the next few months though

For all the people who are waiting for this UE, I think they should let us know what's up. I first found out about all Legend's secrets and mishaps like 4-5 years ago from the Legend FAQ (figmentfly.com) This dvd UE is a must have for any movie lover. One could probably teach a successful course in filmmaking with it by analyzing all the different ways this film was tinkered with. Ahhh well. Speculation is that it will be out in November... but that is only speculation.

They better have it out in time for Christmas because they announced for release last year. It also better be an Ultimate Edition. We know it'll be 2-disc. I just love the fact that all of Ridley Scott's films are starting to be released in 2-disc sets. Scott is definitely a man who understands DVD. Paramount is releasing "The Duellists" sometime soon, and they're also doing special editions of "1492: Conquest of Paradise" and "Black Rain" sometime in 2002. I think it's safe to say that Ridley Scott will do a commentary for all of his future DVD releases.
