Queen – We Will Rock You

Let me see if I have this right: there is a 1997 release out there and there is a new release coming on October 2, 2001 - actually two separate disks: one DD and one DTS version?
Anybody has any input on this new release? I have heard some bad things about (sound) quality on 1997 release (unfortunately didn’t have a chance to check it myself), so I am wondering is this new one going to be any better? I am a Queen fan, but I am a much bigger fan of high quality sound (and picture).
By the way, I’ve heard that “Live in Wembley” is a much better concert than this Montreal one, but never heard it being released on DVD. Anybody knows anything?
Thanks

I bought the original DVD when it came out. And promptly got rid of it. It had a horrid picture and had horrid sound.

I can't say I'm a huge fan, I just picked it up on a whim. Can't say that I will pick up the new one either, unless it is significant in some way (the great sound of the Eagle's Hell DVD comes to mind)

This new version coming out is supposedly remastered and includes commentary by the remaining band members.

There are better concerts... Wembley is excellent, and their last recorded concert at Buddapest (sp) is awesome.

Queen also made some of the best (and even what some consider the first) music videos, and these have yet to make it to DVD. There was an awesome Japanese laserdisc Greatest Flix Karaoke, which had real instrumental versions on one track (not karaoke re-recordings) and this would be so perfect for DVD, I'm hoping they eventually release it.

Excellent. I have that first disk. The song selections suck, but I watch it now and then.
