Willow cover

Anyone else just throw up? Bleh, easily the worst cover ever!

and the VHS cover is better! Which makes me even sadder.

I'd have to say that I'm not really crazy about that cover either.
Kinda lame...

It's a scale really, with a perfect mission on one end and a total pooch screw on the other. We're sorta in the middle...

Cover, shmover...does it really matter?
Willow is a movie that a lot (not me though) of people want on DVD. Be happy for what you're getting.

Yes, the cover does look VERY stupid! I haven't seen Willow yet, but I heard it was a really great film, and also the fact that it's from Lucas makes it sound interesting.

I have to admit I like the original art better, but I guess it's not really a big deal. The disc itself looks like it should be pretty good.

A little silly looking, but for a fantasy film cover, it could have looked much worse.

Besides, like someone said, its what inside that matters.

I don't know, while it's the disc that really matters, I just can't stand it when the cover looks atrocious! Oh, hey, it's yet another reason why I love Criterion, their covers are ALWAYS goregus (Have you seen the one for "The Vanishing" yet? MEGA COOL!)

thanx,
Brook

Yeah, I want a cover that kicks ass. It is something that you will be looking at on your shelf, etc. The cover should be visually appealing, not a bunch of shitty photoshopped images. Blah!

I agree that artwork is important. They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but that's no excuse for giving the book an ugly cover.

The basic design itself I have no problem with. It's the way the shots were integrated. Val looks alright where and how he is. Get a different shot of Warwick, shade it to match Val, and get rid of the other two images. That would help.

Like I said in another thread, my Excalibur is hands-down the worst cover art I own.

I'd leave Val and the sowrd, or get rid off Val altogether. It might look ok if it was just the text and the sword.

Most DVD cover art is terrible anyway. This certainly takes the cake.
