Suspiria Ltd. Ed.

Just bought it at Suncoast, so I haven't had a chance to view it yet, but I have to say -- it's a weighty package.

Can't wait to leave work.

thanx,
Brook

It is supposed to be Sept. 11. Many retailers are breaking street, though, releasing both the normal one-disc 'Suspiria' and the limited edition well in advance. ('Opera' isn't supposed to be out until 9/11 either, yet I bought mine at Best Buy last Monday.)

I got mine today. Totally loved the Suspiria LE. Yes, it is weighty and rightly so. I haven't had a chance to check out Opera since MNF rousted my plans, but I will tomorrow first thing.

No problems with the movie on my Toshiba 3109.

I was surprised by how heavy this sucker is.

Whoa! I just realized what my problem was! I had ordered it from Amazon, along with teh Criterion Collection "Notorious", and they had put to ship them all together, which would mean I wouldn't get "Suspiria" 'till mid-October (OH, NO!). Luckilly, Icaught that this evening, and now it will be shipped promptly. Just a warning for all those people out there who would do something that silly, like I did.

thanx,
Brook

How good is this movie? My film studies teacher mentioned it in class, he mention people walked out in the first 5 minutes and nothing had happpened except a woman walked into an airport. It sounds great, and I have been itching to see it since he said those comments. I doubt I'd find it for rent so, is the one disc good too? How is the quality of the video/audio? And how damn good is the film?

I finally watched "Suspiria" last night and I still am in awe at how well this movie holds up to this day, 25 years after its initial release. The picture quality is even more amazing now than it has ever been, I don't know if I have seen another movie that is as beautiful in design as this is. I also watched the documentary which was interesting, considering two people take credit for the movie as their own idea. By no means am I disappointed with this release, but I just thought there would be more to it as far as supplements go, anybody else think so too? There is a good laugh in the form of a music video by "Demonia"(???) it's just truly embarrasing.

My Suspiria LE plays fine, all discs considered. My Opera LE; however, won't even boot up.

I just shipped it back to DVD Empire.
