Videos for the aftermath
I don't know about you folks, but as much as I feel for and about the terrorist attacks, I just wasn't able to watch or listen to news coverage around the clock. The thing is, I don't have cable, and news is just about all that was available on local stations until this morning.
So I fell back on my video collection and found some titles that actually helped, some for escapism and others that spoke more or less to the tragedy. Here are the ones I ended up watching, in no particular order: Star Trek First Contact Sullivan's Travels Forrest Gump The Princess Bride That Thing You Do George of the Jungle There are probably others that haven't come to mind. I know this is completely subjective, but do you have any other thoughts? |

It's funny but some movies that came to mind that made me think of the tragedy are
Fight Club, because of the ending, Planet of the apes, because of the apocolyptic sets, and for some reason movies like Armageddon and Godzilla came to mind. Basically anything where buildings are destroyed. I wonder how special effects guys will look at this event for future studies? |
