Coming 2002 To DVD - Beauty And The Beast

In one of the little booklets that came in the Snow White DVD, the bottom right corner of one of the pages said "Coming 2002 - Beauty And The Beast".

Now I only played around with the Snow White disc for about an hour and barely scratched the surface of the material on this thing. I hope they give Beauty and the Beast the same awsome attention they have given Snow White.

2002 is looking to be a pretty good year for DVD.

I heard that the year after beauty and the beast will be Aladin and the year after that The Lion King.

I hope they include the new 10-minute sequence that will be featured in the IMAX version this December. And I'm also excited about the other ones as well. Lion King Platinum Edition should be one of the "kings" of all dvds.

Still waiting for Snow White in the mail. (from freakin Disney Online). It sucks coming home and not getting the package you want.

That'll Be A Great Addition To My DVD Collection! I Wonder If You Pre-Order It They'll Give You A Free Disney DVD? Like Snow White(I Forgot To Pre-Order SW And Missed Out).

I have a feeling they did the free DVD thing because they had a lot of copies left over. All those "limited run" DVDs were originally priced at $40 list, and I think that killed a lot of sales. That might still hold next year.

The "extra" thing, however, is a long-standing tradition with Disney, going back at least eight years. I have several lithographs and some other extras that I got for pre-ordering videos. The nice part is that their discount on pre-orders has always been healthy.

Trust me -- I know what I'm doing.

I'm actually not a big Disney fan and likely won't buy any of the next three year's platinum editions. I do love Snow White though. What a GREAT DVD!!!

I just wish Sleeping Beauty was slated for platinum edition treatment.
