Which of the many editions floating around out there is the "definative" one??

I've been contemplating the Ultimate Toy Box, but found I couldn't pass on the Pixar 3 pack last week at Best Buy for $35. That's $15 less than the UTB, it has the Pixar shorts, and A Bug's Life is an 'extra feature' I'll probably get more use out of than any making of documaentary. I admit I would have liked to have the commentary tracks, but I've still got scads of them unlistened-to, and on movies more important to me than the Pixar stuff.

If money were no object or if I were a bigger fan I'd go UTB and pick up the 2 disc bug's life UE on the side. As it is that's money that I can spend on other discs.

i purchased the ultimate toybox and the pixar gift pack as well as i already have the original toystory.

I bought a pack of gum yesterday - Bubblicious - Watermelon. I know everyone's saying "Hold off, there's gonna be a special edition with remastered flavor and at least it won't be in that awful paper wrapper." But you know what, I figured it's worth it. I mean if it's not that good, I can always auction off the rest of the pack on eBay. And then if Bubblicious revisits the Watermelon gum, I can use the money to re-purchase the upgrade.

I'm in the process of replacing most of my DVDs after my house was broken into and Toy Story is one of them. I only had the 2-pack before and the regular version of A Bug's Life. I'm seriously thinking of getting the Ultimate Toy Box and the SE A Bug's Life this time around, but it is a lot of money. That 3-Pack sounds appealing.

Meh!

Since I don't own either of the Toy Story movies in any of their formats, I may be going out on a limb here:

I seem to remember that the seperately packaged Toy Story's had better quality sound than the 2-pack. I'm not sure about the new boxed set in term of how the audio compares to the other previous releases. Am I crazy? Maybe they just didn't squeeze all the logos, THX certification stamp, and small print on the back of the 2-pack.
