Somebody give me the lowdown on the Evil Dead DVDs

OK,
I saw Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness and enjoyed them (still didn't see the first one). However, everytime I go into a store, I see different editions of these movies and limited edition canisters etc. etc.

I also read a post somewhere about a new version in February.

What's the deal? I'm in no hurry to get them, but at what time could I get the "definitive" release of these, yknow with all the good extras and all...

Thanks =)

Ok, theres a new version of the original Evil Dead coming out next year. So, Id wait and buy that one.

As for ED2, theres a old shitty version with a skull on the cover. DONT GET THAT ONE! The new one has some sweet cover art: http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/17166h.jpg
Then theres the Limited Edition: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/63...1.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

Their both loaded discs and feature the greatest commentary ever!

As for AOD. Theres a ton of them. Theres a shitty Universal one. Dont buy it. Theres a nice Anchor Bay one: http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/8326h.jpg
Theres the new Bootleg edition:http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/40726h.jpg

Thats about it.

Anchor Bay is really milking the Trilogy for all tis worth! There are 2 version of the 1st ED (another coming up soon, making it 3), 3 versions fo ED2 & a whopping 5 versions of AOD! I'll tell ya what...I'm done!!!
