Has anyone received their Jurassic Park replacement DVD?

I sent mine in about a month ago, and still no replacement.

Still don't have mine, though it's only been about 3 weeks for me.

The replacement is only for the DTS versions right?

DTS version only, that's right.

Does anyone happen to have it the address to send the old Jurassic Park DTS disc back for the replacement? I can't seem to find the original article or anything on Universal's webpage. Thanks.

I finally got mine in the mail yesterday -- like seven weeks after I sent my old one in. Whether my constant emails to Universal along the lines of "where the hell is my replacement god damnit?!" either sped-up or slowed-down the process is a different story. Haven't had time to test it out yet (the irony of it all) but they did indeed send the "D2R2" version.

Just be patient, it'll come.

Oh, and when they say send the "disc only," minus the case, they mean it. All they're sending back to you is the repressed disc in a clear CD case. Keep your original cases!

I did end up getting mine, on Monday. What a coincidence, I had just called and left a message last Wednesday wondering where my replacement DVD was.

I just got mine last night and I called too as soon as the posting was up on the bits. Mind you I'm in Canada, but hey, I finally got it and love the new low end!

Before I send the disc in, does anyone happen to know how long this exchange is valid? Just wanted to make sure before I sent it away. Thanks again.

Yeah, but if you buy the three pack, you probably won't get the DTS versions of the first 2 anyway.

Hi everyone,
Just got my new DTS disc. I think the turnaround time on mine was about a week or two. Not bad.

Is this the same address for Canadian residents, or should I be sending my disc somewhere more local?

OK, I didn't realize there was an issue with the JP discs, can someone update me! I own the DD collection, but I'm curious anyway! Anyone care to fill in a puzzled Riddler?

Mine took so long I actually forgot about it until I went to watch it one day. I sent mine off the day it was reported and Universal was scrambling to make it right. It finally came and yes, there is a great bit of difference on the low end.

Hopefully for those of you just sending it in, the turn around time is faster

There were two version of the DTS JP released and Universal didn't bother to tell any of the people who bought the first release that the bass levels were off. I believe it was off by 4db. That release did sound good, but the second release had much fuller and deeper bass. Universal was called on the carpet for it by several of the DVD sites on the net and gave a number to call and an address to send the original disks back to and they would ship out the newest one with the correct levels. The woman I spoke to on the phone was really polite, told me to ship the DVD only and keep the packaging and they would send the replacement.

People who bought the original DTS version wouldn't know that anything was wrong because it still shook every window in my house during the T-Rex scenes because technically it wasn't defective. The new one just sounds better. This came out a few months ago.

The link I had about this is 404 now, so I hope this helps.

I have read elsewhere that people who sent in their original cases along with the discs, were getting back their cases in a seperate envelope. So you might hold on for a few more days and see if your case shows up in the mail.

I'm still waiting for my disc, but then, I only sent it in a little over a month ago, so I still have a couple more weeks to wait.
