Alright, not to be offense to anyone but it has spiked my curiousty. Some of us admit to it, some of it don't however we have seen it one time or another.

I haven't seen one on DVD, I want to check out the gimmicks and what's the deal, why are these things so expensive?

Will anyonw dare to venture into this question?

Well..
Porn is expensive anyway (err so ive heard) so your liable to pay 20 dollars or more for a VHS where as you might pay like 5 dollars for a regular movie on Video. Of course, there are the exceptions (read: bargain bin), but, well, you don't want em.

So theres that, right off the bat, youre getting porn so theyre gonna ream ya (hehe) price wise. but there are also a ton of features:
where as on video, you get the flick, on the DvDs ive seen (vivid) there's a bunch of DvD extras. more like twenty five or so "clips" of other porn blockbusters... these seem to be little onanism clips, as they run *gasp* between 3-5 minutes, so that you get a good idea of the plot (riiiiight). Then you got previews and shit.

The real seller: Multiple angles. First off, love it or hate it, porn needs some props for actually USING the angle feature, but really, they're not actual alternate angles, or at least it doesn't LOOK like it. it seems more like, at certain points, you have the option of switching between similar scenes. it'll be the same couple, same "position" but a little off, like another take, as opposed to another angle of the SAME take. but hey.

Another thing. dont let them trick ya! The first DvD me and my lady, I mean, my friend and HIS lady, got, wasn't even a porno. It was called "essential jenna" with jenna jameson. BUT- all this turned out to be was some kind of virtual strip tease. tons and tons of em mind you, but virtual strip tease just the same, and real Cinemaxy at that. and Jenna was on it ONCE. to INTRODUCE the damn thing.

So, wear a disguise and ask the guy in the front what he suggests. take his pick (or the exact opposite-who knows this freak anyway?) or just ask which are actual flicks. or FILM YOUR OWN. all you need is comfortable female friends, or drug addicted female strangers. *shudder*

Some porn on DVD is MUCH cheaper than others. There are some websites you can visit where you can find porm from $5 - $20. The Private DVDs tend to cost around $40 a pop, but they are killer DVDs... 4:3 video, but good sound and GREAT video quality.

All through high school I was the PORN KING, have no problems admitting it. I lived when there was the time you could buy it at your local candy store, me and the fella's would go down the basement, smoke cigerattes vigoursely and fast foward the boring stuff. Eventually, I lended them out and they suddenly disappered.

There really shouldn't be any shame in admitting it. Ur, umm, as an adult now, I was just curious anyway...

As a side thought: I used to work at laserland, and the boss' wife loved porno. So reccomended it to the guys. There was one with audio coomentary that I wish I made a copy of, that was just hiliarous. The director took himself so seriously!

I've only bought one disc of porn so far...well two if you count 'Exhausted' but I got that only because I'm a Boogie Nights fan.

The ones on my wishlist to tend to be the more expensive ones so I just haven't brought myself to spend twice the price (or more) of a normal DVD again.

Check around though...adult shops here have some decent looking ones starting at $14.95.
www.adultdvdempire has large front & back box covers to check out, and full reviews for many of them, as well as decent prices.

I suggest you try www.adultdvdtalk.com...if you can't find the info you want there, you probably don't need it. Of course thats just what I've heard...never actually gone there myself...
