The Fast & The Furious, Scary Movie 2, Jurassic Park 3 (i'm buying the trilogy), Rush Hour 2, American Pie 2, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Evolution(maybe), & The Others(any word on when it'll be released yet?) there's probably more but I'm going braindead.
![]() ------------------ I bought a pack of gum yesterday - Bubblicious - Watermelon. I know everyone's saying "Hold off, there's gonna be a special edition with remastered flavor and at least it won't be in that awful paper wrapper." But you know what, I figured it's worth it. I mean if it's not that good, I can always auction off the rest of the pack on eBay. And then if Bubblicious revisits the Watermelon gum, I can use the money to re-purchase the upgrade. I usually stay away from the summer blockbusters and sadly there are slim pickings for indie films during this period, so I don't have a lot on my list. I'm really looking forward to Moulin Rouge being released in December with loads of extra features. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back will be a must-buy as long as it is released with the usual features--commentary, deleted scenes, etc.--right away and not a barebones studio version like what happened with Dogma.
I'm waiting for the DVD releases of all the good films I've seen in the fall: Mulholland Drive, The Man Who Wasn't There, Ghostworld, etc. |

The Others Is still at our St. Clair 10 near St. Louis. I wonder when the word of release will be out?

DEFINITELY "Hedwig and the Angry Inch"!!!! I have a feeling this is going to become one of my most played discs!
Also probably "The Closet", "With a Friend Like Harry", and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back". As people on this forum know, I loved "AI", but I don't think I'll buy it just becuase it's not the sort of movei I'd watch again and again. Thanx, Brook ------------------ Go to the missing title art gallery for fun comics, creative writing, and original short films! or, visit Cheap Thrills ...or more? for lots of horror cinema fun! Also, see my ever-so-wonderful DVD collection! |

I'm going to pick up Moulin Rouge, Jay and Silent Bob, A.I., Hedwig, The Others and Ghost World. I haven't heard anything about its specs, but Ghost World is listed on Amazon as a Feb. 5th release. I know Mulholland Drive technically wasn't a summer release, but it's another one of my "most wanted discs". I'm sure Amelie and The Man Who Wasn't There will be added to the list as soon as I see them (hopefully in a week or two).

I only know 3 for sure: Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back Zoolander (I know its not really a summer movie, but I loved it) Rush Hour 2 ------------------ "He was already dead. They're all dead...they just don't know it yet." - Eric Draven [This message has been edited by Grand Admiral Thrawn (edited 11-11-2001).] |

Rusty Nail, you're not putting Joy Ride on your list?
I might pick up A.I. but I'm not sure yet. Other movies from this year outside of the summer window I might get are Moulin Rougue, Snatch and Momento. I went to the theater one day too late to see Jay and Silent Bob so I'm going to rent it, and then I might buy. I am really looking forward to Steven Soderbergh's next movie. If it is good and the DVD has a commentary I will probably buy that. I thought there where some other good movies from this year but I can't think of any others... |
