The Fast & The Furious, Scary Movie 2, Jurassic Park 3 (i'm buying the trilogy), Rush Hour 2, American Pie 2, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Evolution(maybe), & The Others(any word on when it'll be released yet?) there's probably more but I'm going braindead.

I bought a pack of gum yesterday - Bubblicious - Watermelon. I know everyone's saying "Hold off, there's gonna be a special edition with remastered flavor and at least it won't be in that awful paper wrapper." But you know what, I figured it's worth it. I mean if it's not that good, I can always auction off the rest of the pack on eBay. And then if Bubblicious revisits the Watermelon gum, I can use the money to re-purchase the upgrade.

The others is still playing at my local 9-plex...

Will the studio for Jay and Silent Bob do what they did with Dogma and release 2 editions?

  • Planet of the Apes

maybe:
  • JP III (I'll get the set if I have the $$)
  • American Pie 2 (wait til the UE)
  • Evolution (if it's a good DVD, and I see it used, I'll buy)

I usually stay away from the summer blockbusters and sadly there are slim pickings for indie films during this period, so I don't have a lot on my list. I'm really looking forward to Moulin Rouge being released in December with loads of extra features. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back will be a must-buy as long as it is released with the usual features--commentary, deleted scenes, etc.--right away and not a barebones studio version like what happened with Dogma.

I'm waiting for the DVD releases of all the good films I've seen in the fall: Mulholland Drive, The Man Who Wasn't There, Ghostworld, etc.

I am buying the trilogy pack of Jurassic Park, since I have been a fan since the first book came out way back in 1990. That's all.

DEFINITELY "Hedwig and the Angry Inch"!!!! I have a feeling this is going to become one of my most played discs!

Also probably "The Closet", "With a Friend Like Harry", and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back".

As people on this forum know, I loved "AI", but I don't think I'll buy it just becuase it's not the sort of movei I'd watch again and again.

Thanx,
Brook

I'm going to pick up Moulin Rouge, Jay and Silent Bob, A.I., Hedwig, The Others and Ghost World. I haven't heard anything about its specs, but Ghost World is listed on Amazon as a Feb. 5th release. I know Mulholland Drive technically wasn't a summer release, but it's another one of my "most wanted discs". I'm sure Amelie and The Man Who Wasn't There will be added to the list as soon as I see them (hopefully in a week or two).

Rusty Nail, you're not putting Joy Ride on your list?

I might pick up A.I. but I'm not sure yet.

Other movies from this year outside of the summer window I might get are Moulin Rougue, Snatch and Momento.

I went to the theater one day too late to see Jay and Silent Bob so I'm going to rent it, and then I might buy.

I am really looking forward to Steven Soderbergh's next movie. If it is good and the DVD has a commentary I will probably buy that.

I thought there where some other good movies from this year but I can't think of any others...
