personal classics anyone?

i was wondering if any of you have a list of
your own 'personal classic's films you would like to see on Dvd, the ones's that are never
put on "a top 100 films of all times. Keep in mind that not everyone felt 'GONE WITH THE
WINS was a great film, but the films that you 'personal felt are classic's to you.
EXAMPLE> 29th street. to me was a great film
but probaly not seen by to many.

Indiana Jones trilogy, is mine as well, I have watched this more than any other movie, followed by Starwars Trilogy.

I can always watch these.

Isn't this available in a 2 disc from Fox, unless you mean that terrible TV show that for some bizarre reason hasn't been cancelled yet?

My personal choices:

Schizopolis
King of the Hill (not TV)
Kicking and Screaming
Heavenly Creatures (the Candian crappy cropped version does not count)
Delicatessen
Funny Bones
Weekend
Day for Night
The Long Goodbye
Sex, Drugs, Rock and Roll
Akira Kurosawa's Dreams
Secret Honor
Dellamorte Dellamore (only in a crappy Region 2 I have)
Mute Witness
Swimming to Cambodia
Hearts of Darkness
The Thin Blue Line
Gates of Heaven
A Brief History of Time
Vernon, Florida
Brother's Keeper

lots and lots more

One movie I feel is a personal classic is the 1985 horror film Fright Night starring Roddy McDowall, Chris Sarandon & William Ragsdale.

* Has that classic monster movie feel.
* Very well written & Writer/Director Tom Holland's "baby" at the time.
* Fantastic acting..especially from the late Roddy McDowall as an out of work TV horror host.

I am glad to see the AMC channel having this film in their rotation & this movie IS a classic in my eyes.

....I would like to see a deserved Special Edition DVD!

At least this movie is on DVD though, even if it's a bare bones letterboxed disc. The titles mentioned previously have not released at all.

Royal Flash (1975) or The Bushido Blade (1979) would be nice. I can't complain though since The Stunt Man (1980) just came out last month.

TV: Wiseguy, Crime Story (other than the pilot), Six Million Dollar Man (available in the UK) and the Incredible Hulk (again the UK but with the movie maybe there will be dvd releases from Universal).

Touch of Evil with Orson Welles is an excellent choice.

Flash Gordon - Such a fun flick, liked since the first time I've seen it as a kid.
Clue - Great ensemble, Madlene Khan, Leslie Ann Warren, Eileen Brennan. I liked all the comedic actors in this film.
Sense and Sensibility - just a great story and great acting by everyone. Hugh Grant is quite effective as a stiffneck English gentleman.
Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace - well what can I say, only kicks ass
Raiders of the Lost Ark - well what can I say again, kicks ass
A Fish Called Wanda - fffffffun ffffffilm KKkkken kkkkkcoming.....funny movie.
Dark City - Beautiful images. Love the concept of this film. Similiar to a twilight zone-ish type feel.
City of Lost Children - In a category by itself.
Aliens - WOW
Blazing Saddles - Mel Brook's Classic
Written in the Wind
Gladiator
Lawrence of Arabia
Cleopatra
Spartacus
Chararde..............wow I have a lot. But at least this gives an idea or confuses. I probably will have more to add because there are a lot of Criterion that I will most likely buy plus the others classics like Citizen Kane etc...........
