What are your 25 favorite movies
First, list your 25 favorite movies of all time (not your favorite DVD's). Then, tell whether or not there is an acceptable DVD out for each. This should be interesting. Mine are not in any order:
Breakfast Club (unacceptable) Mississippi Burning (unacceptable) Glory (acceptable) Saving Private Ryan (unacceptable) Braveheart (unacceptable) Can't Hardly Wait (acceptable) Sixth Sense (unacceptable) L.A. Confidential (acceptable) JFK (acceptable) A Few Good Men (acceptable) Tombstone (acceptable coming soon) Scream (acceptable) Raising Arizona (unacceptable) Happy Gilmore (unacceptable, not even widescreen) Summer School (Not on DVD yet) A Time To Kill (unacceptable) Shawshank Redemption (unacceptable) The Apostle (acceptable) The Rock (acceptable) Die Hard (acceptable) Real Genius (Not on DVD yet) Sling Blade (unacceptable) Les Miserables (unacceptable) Perfect World (unacceptable) Robin Hood, Prince of Theives (unacceptable) |

The DVDs to Braveheart and Saving Private Ryan are great. What more do you need then amazing audio and video? Extras are just icing...
25 is way to many to list, maybe I'll post them if I get bored or something. |

Well, my favorite movies tend to flucuate, but here's a reasonably accurate list in no particular order
Also, I know not all of these are technically "great" films, but they're some that I just really enjoy a lot.The Empire Strikes Back (no-show) Star Wars (nope) Return of the Jedi (um...) Close Encounters of the Third Kind (acceptable) Casablanca (decent, but room for improvement) The Dark Crystal (very acceptable) Airplane! (okay, but not enough) Young Frankenstein (acceptable, except no anamorphic) 2001: A Space Odyssey (not completely acceptable, but probably as good as we'll get) Gattaca (so-so) Blade Runner (hopefully soon-to-be-acceptable) The Muppet Movie (so-so) The Godfather (haven't gotten it yet, but looks more than acceptable The Godfather Part II (see above) Superman (quite acceptable) Ben-Hur (acceptable) Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (not acceptable yet, but soon )Raiders of the Lost Ark (we're waiting, we're waiting...) Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (ditto) Willow (solid, but could be more) Who Framed Roger Rabbit (UNacceptable) Back to the Future (eventually) Jaws (would be great with the full documentary) Planet of the Apes-1968 (unacceptable) Princess Mononoke (well...it's there ) |
