Brisco County on disc...cool! Like Seamonkey, I'm not too keen on joining Columbia House to get 'em.

Brisco To Go DVD!

Thanks to both fans of The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., the short-but-sweet, cancelled-and-lamented series starring Bruce as the titular hero will be released on DVD by Warner Bros. sometime in the vague future.

We don't know when it will happen; they just decided to do it. Don't ask us. We have a nasty habit of posting all the information we know.

By the beard of ZEUS, this is the DVD the format was invented for.

Just curious, why did you wait out the Best Buy exclusive. Do you not like Best Buy or was it because of the features on the American release of it (mini-series included)?

Probably that, bad extra features, and the big one for me "Converted from PAL versions" yeah converting framerates never leads to good video, people were smart for passing on the overpriced Best Buy "fan gouging" version.

I'm with umainebearman on this one.

Well it seems like a given now. Check out TVShowsonDVD.com and vote for your fav Cover Art Both covers were provided by Warner Bros. with no hint of a release date but with this voting almost guarentees a release very soon.

If you don't want to click and vote then here they are.

Is it me, or does Bruce have a little Indiana Jones thing going on in the second cover art pic?

Brisco had the 7:00 slot, X-Files had the 8:00 slot. It wasn't until about '97 that Fox moved X-Files to sundays.

Yeah...Brisco was supposed to be the ratings winner that would hopefully help this little quirky show, the X-Files, get on its feet. Funny how things turn out...

Well here you go everyone. Its officially coming out.

From TVShowsonDVD.com

Quote:
Warner Bros will release the complete series, all 28 TV hours worth (26 episodes and a 2 hour pilot - 1260 mins), on July 18. The set, which is a whopping 8 discs, will retail for $99.98. Of course a Bruce Campbell release wouldn't be complete without bonus material, and Warner Bros doesn't disappoint:

* Pilot episode commentary with star Bruce Campbell and creator Carlton Cuse
* Brisco's "Book of Coming Things" interactive menu of signature references from the series narrated by Bruce Campbell
* A Brisco County Writer's Room - A write-'em cowboy reunion
* The History of Brisco Country, Jr. documentary
* A Reading From The Book of Bruce featurette
* Tools of the Trade interactive gadgets gallery hosted by Campbell

The release date is just a few days before the San Diego Comic Con where Campbell was hounded about the show's DVD release last year. What a difference a year can make.
