I never thought Chloe was Lois because she said in an episode last season that Lois was her cousin who had absolutly no interest in journalism. (I guess there is suppose to be some irony there )

However going with your first spoiler...
Spoiler (Highlight or Triple Click to Read):
Chloe is indeed dead and this forces her "cousin" Lois to want to find out why she died so she starts doing a bit of investigating to uncover the "truth". Of course this would mean introducing Lois' charactor earlier then we're use to being introduced to her. But it's just a thought.

As for the big spoiler everyone's talking about, I tend to disagree.

(And if could figure out how to spoiler blocks like you guys are I would elaborate...)

Better spoilers to be had at http://www.kryptonsite.com/smallvillespoilers.htm.

You use a [ then the word spoiler, then another ] at the beginning. Then at the end another [ then /spoiler (with the forward slash) then another ]

There..now you know.

Man I'm good, the thought I had for Lois' appearance is on two seperate web sites as a plot point for the next season. (I just want to say that I wrote my idea down BEFORE reading these site...honest.)

Lois Lane?

according to the spoilers section of that website....what u posted is wrong.

Spoiler (Highlight or Triple Click to Read):
- The casting pages have certain bits blacked out, but we could swear we see the name "CHLOE" among the blacked-out lines... meaning it seems Chloe may be alive and well, despite the graveside service. If that is indeed Chloe, her scenes take place in the Smallville Torch at night. Chloe leaves a message on the computer that says "Please find out who did this Clark. You're the only one who can."

and from kryptonknight.tk

Spoiler (Highlight or Triple Click to Read):
- Tom Welling, Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum, Annette O'Toole, John Schneider, John Glover, and Allison Mack are all listed on the WB's website as coming back next season. The only name missing, of course, is Sam Jones III, who left in the episode "Forsaken."

Sure but they both said...
Spoiler (Highlight or Triple Click to Read):
Lois is in town to investigate Chloe's death so if she's alive or not, that point is correct.

Hopefully, we'll see some improvement on the largely disappointing storytelling of Season 3. I'm hopeful.

OCTOBER? Man that sucks ASS! I'm soo tired of these shortened seasons. Start later, end earlier. Sucks!

I absolutly loved Season 3. Not sure where the "largelly disappointing story telling" came from but that's cool. I was totally into each episode I watched.

Actually, I don't mind a start late/end early tv season. It just cuts down on the number of reruns during the initial run and moves them towards summer.

I must admit that I was shocked about Chloe being blown up at the end. I was only dissappointed in the first half of the third season but they redeemed themselves by weaving it into the last half

Spoiler!
Spoiler (Highlight or Triple Click to Read):
I think that the secret power Clark develops is how to use the spoiler option on web sites...but that is me just being silly

I agree, completely. Season 3 seemed to start so many different plotlines and then drag them out and never give a satisfying ending to any of them. I am sad to see Pete go, but honestly, his character was useless last season. He would show up once an episode, say something, and then dissapear again. It was boring and he served no real purpose. Chloe has always been more interesting of a character than Lana, and last season showed that again.

And can Clark's dad please make it through two episodes without getting hurt? It became kind of funny by the end of the season. I think the biggest problem wtih the third season was a lack of focus, and I really hope they find it again next season.

Well, elwood, millions of people agree - Season 3 bled off a full QUARTER of the show's audience from Season 2.

Clearly not nearly enough to make up for the difference. The proof is there - people just didn't want to watch this show last season, which is profound, considering that the second season had been one of the WB's biggest hits.

Well I wanted to watch it. Hell I couldn't WAIT for it to come on each week. I guess I didn't watch enough of season two do to a comparison but I'm also easily entertained so maybe that has something to do with it.

Actually, having not watched the first two seasons might have something to do with it (or just season two). I think for many fans it was the contrast between the heights of the first two seasons, and then the lows of season three. It was still better than most shows on TV, but nowhere near as good as other shows.

By the same token, the same thing happened to 24 last season. It wasn't a horrible season, but the first half turned off a lot of fans of the first two seasons. It did finally manage to pick up in the second half, something I don't think Smallville ever did.

I agree.

I liked the first two seasons a lot. Season 3 really was much worse. Plots that never went anywhere. They just s-l-o-w-l-y developed while still being completely unexplained. The constant major shifts in character personalities that didn't make sense other than as cheap plot devices. Gah. Towards the end, I was almost forcing myself to watch. If it doesn't pick up next year, it's getting the cut.

Lois Lane...Yummy!

Also new news.

From Cinescape.com
Quote:
KryptonSite is reporting the news that in the fifth episode of SMALLVILLE's new season we'll see another one of DC Comics' superheroes hang out with Clark Kent, namely The Flash! However, fans of the scarlet speedster will be surprised to learn that the Flash character we'll get to see in the episode will be Bart Allen, the young boy in the DC Comics' universe who is the grandson of the Golden Age's Barry Allen Flash.

KryptonSite goes on to say that the television Bart will have many of the same qualities that his comic counterpart: a tendency to act first without thinking about the consequences and a motor mouth. The names of other Flashes will also be seen or mentioned in the episode, such as Wally West (who is the current Flash in the comics) as well as Jay Garrick. The one thing that appears to be different at this time is the character's superpowers origin: unlike the comics, where Bart comes from the future and inherited his powers via the family tree, the SMALLVILLE version of Bart received his superspeed by a strange accident as a child. Sounds more like the accident that gave Barry Allen his powers.

The as-yet untitled episode is scheduled to air October 20. It's being written by ex-BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLATER writer Steve DeKnight.

Premieres Wednesday, September 22.

I can't wait! Yeah, season 3 was the worst of them so far, but I have faith that the show's producers/directors/writers all know they f*cked up by not satisfactorily focusing on or closing any significant story arc elements, and they should know this considering how much of an audience they lost as the season wore on. If this season is not better, my interest will seriously wane, and I'm a huge fan of this show. I'd just hate to see it completely jump the shark.

Just finished watching the season premier. Uhm.....wow...interesting. Kind of all over the place but still kinda cool. It was good, just kinda...all over the place. Lois is hot but I'm not sure I like the way she's being played yet. I did enjoy the guest appearance. That was pretty cool.
thoughts?
