House MD DVD's -- non-anamorphic widescreen
Wow -- this is a really special kind of *stupid* -- see this TV Shows on DVD article.
No way I am paying for non-anamorphic widescreen discs for a TV show made this past year -- using zoom to fill my screen, I doubt the picture quality will be much better than the DVD's I made from the original airings.

It does seem kind of silly. Fox's comment about a "tight production schedule" doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering that "House" was one of their big hits last year and that other shows from the network get such good DVD treatment (like "24").

Fox only airs the show. The dvd release in from Universal Studios. Its upsetting to se ethem skip quality for such a well written and popular show. I don't have a WS TV so it wont hurt me for now quality wise really, but when i do make the move over. Here's hoping the will do some sort of Back to the Future return deal in the near future. Still probably buying it on Tuesday
