"Night Stalker" - Cancelled

From Frank Spotnitz, Big Light Productions:

Quote:
It is with regret that I confirm "Night Stalker" has been canceled. While I’m disappointed the series has come to an end, I am enormously grateful for the experience and the opportunity given me by the network and Touchstone Television. I would like to thank our amazingly talented cast, wonderful crew, killer post-production department, terrific writing staff, producers and partners in crime Daniel Sackheim and John Peter Kousakis, the incredible Jana Fain, and all of you who watched and enjoyed the show.
It was a blast.

That's fine with me. While I enjoyed watching Gabrielle Union walk around on the screen (yummers!), the show was a horrible carbon copy of The X-Files in damn near every way. The cast was fine, though. Just the show runners.

I'm not surprised. It was a very weak show.

I really wanted to like this show. But it wasn't that good. It just tried to capture the glory of the X-Files and failed on so many fronts. Duchovney and Anderson added some character and life to their parts. Stuart Townsend in particular was flat and unemotional.
