Aquaman TV Show Coming

From Cinescape.com
Quote:
The WB Network has given the go-ahead for Miles Millar and Alfred Gough to produce a pilot for AQUAMAN.

The series is being envisioned as "a contemporary reinterpretation of the character who lives in the deep sea and enlists sharks and other oceanic creatures to help him in his crime-fighting endeavors."

Aquaman will be in his early twenties.
I hope they get a better actor then the guy that played him on Smallville a couple of weeks ago.

This is from the comments some of the Cinescape members make on articles like this.
Quote:
the guy who played aquaman on smallville was pretty much the worst actor this side of chuck norris. he made paul walker look like an oscar contender.

GOLD!

Ugh. Smallville never got above good and it was only good the first couple of seasons. The last few have been bad. I can't imagine that this show would be any better. There's a reason why the Aquaman comic book is always cancelled and relaunched. He doesn't sell.

Who are these guys and what shows have they been involved in thus far?

Personally, I think Aquaman is a terrific character, but will admit I dropped his latest comic from my weekly list. I do think as part of a team, ie: Justice League (in the comics) he is fantastic. I also wonder what they mean by "a contemporary reinterpretation". I generally dislike that kinda thing.

Hey the Man from Atlantis was a great show.
At least it was to a kid. He had webbed fingers. That's kinda cool.

I guess I'm in the minority. I always enjoyed Aquaman.
