Your Prayers Have Been Answered... 'Dinosaurs' is coming in 2006

TVshowsonDVD.com reports that at least the first season or two of Dinosaurs will be out on DVD by 3rd quarter 2006, if not the entire 65 episode run of the series.

This is one of those gems from my teen years that I always watched with friends and I am really going to enjoy sitting down and reliving the series. I still get choked up when I think about the final episode. It was one of the last things you'd expect from a 'children's' show.

hopefully we'll have some definate specs and a solid release date soon.
.
.
.
a little searching later... It looks like the release date will be May 2, 2006 for a season 1 and 2 box set which will include 29 episodes, a making of documentary, original character designs and be presented in 1.33:1 OAR and english 2.0 sound. MSRP of about $39.99. Woot!

I dunno...I really enjoyed this show at the time, but something tells me it'd be pretty tame and dated when viewed without he haze of nostalgia clouding it. Then again, it comes with a free $5 gift card at Circuit City, so I might be tempted to give it a shot.

Eh, I never really liked the show to begin with. I might rent it sometime just to see if I like it now, but I think Monty might be right about this one.

I kinda liked it when it was on, but looking back now, it was a REALLY blatent rip off of the Simpsons.

With CC's deal this week, this is almost a no brainer for me. I still have fond memories of this show, so I have my fingers crossed that it has aged just as gracefully as I have.

There was even a Simpsons episode where the family is watching Dinosaurs on TV, and Homer remarks "It's like they held a mirror up to our lives."
