24: Season 1 DVD

Sorry if there's already a thread on this. I couldn't find it.

Anyway, I just bought 24 season 1 on DVD for $19.99 at Target. Now I haven't seen the show, so no spoilers, but I noticed that this season was in Dolby Surround and not 5.1. Seasons 2, 3, and 4 stated 5.1. I think it was ALIAS that came out in DP and then was re-released in 5.1. Did 24 do this? I didn't want to open it until I asked.

P.S. I hope the show is good.

As far as I know the 2.0 version is the only option.

This is what the DVDTalk review says... "While not a salivatory 5.1 mix, the Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround track is fiercely robust throughout with clear dialogue and smartly showcases an often driving score."

Great show. I watched the entire first season in one weekend.

Well the thing is with season 1 is that it was pushed out really quick. They where trying to get it out just before season 2 so they could get uninitiated to watch season 2. When they saw how big the dvds where I guess they where a little more prepared for the next seasons sets.
