That's when the show started to get really good.

Smallville: Complete Season 1 - Disc 1 & 2

Cool show. I've only seen Season 5 cause thats all that was available for HD. Decided to save some cash by getting 1-4 on SD. Great DVD transfer. The show's style kinda reminds me of Buffy. Good stuff so far.

The style is similar. I do prefer the Buffy character over Kent cause Sarah michelle gellar can actually act. Or should say she brings more life to her character. Dude its 4:15AM. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Agreed. The first two seasons had a lot of potential, but it's dropped off immensely since then.

I love the Superman mythology, but I honestly don’t know how non-Superman fans or non-DC fans can watch it. The show, for the most part, is like a mediocre field with landmines of greatness.

That was such a great season. I can't wait for new episodes this month! I am curious about the justification for who gets the corporate job, though. It was awesome, but seems rather out of left-field to me. What exactly qualifies him for it other than his MBA?

I've only recently discovered the series on DVD, and I don't see any major drop in quality so far. At least they're finally moving past the whole Clark/Lana thing...

Finished Buffy err mean Smallville Season 1.

As a lead character, Sarah definitely has more emotion & personality than Tom from Smallville. Anyway, both shows share a similar concept except for score. Smallville was filmed in my hometown & I was pleased that Mark Snow provided the score.

Similar as in;

*Group of friends in school
*Each episode has a unique problem/vilian
*Both the lead characters are basically hereos
*Both the lead characters share an emotional bond towards someone & their powers/gifts get in the way

Finished Smallville: Season 2, starting Smallville: Season 3.

I actually liked Season 4 a lot, though most didn't like it. Seasons 1 & 2 were sad for me because you root for Chloe, but she always gets hurt. I liked the later seasons where Chloe still gets irked by the Clark/Lana thing, but she is much stronger. However, I missed some episodes in Season 5 and Season 6. I look forward to seeing those and gearing up for Season 7.
