Rowing in the same boat...when you watch them episode to episode in Season 5 you realize how often that theme of Lana and "the secret" and "we can't be together" and "how can I trust you" blah blah blah comes up...freakin annoying!

Just finished Smallville season 6... Wow, maybe the best season finale since season 3.

Spoiler (Highlight or Triple Click to Read):
-Liked the reveal of Chloe's nascent meteor freak ability.

-I totally call how Lana survived that car bomb...she just jumped into the mail truck that passed in front of her car. Although that's going to be a completely useless ruse without a body in the car...

-Finally, Clark grew a sack and told Lana. They just better not pull any "amnesia" bullshit again.

-"I'm you, just a little more...bizarre."

Anyways, it's remarkable how the show has managed to maintain it's quality for so long. I just hope that season 7 (the first I'm going to watch week-to-week on TV) will be the show's last, and it doesn't drag on endlessly like The X-Files did.

Well, she says things that are funny, her storylines aren't the same things over and over again, she's smarter than the other two combined, and I guess I just find her character more appealing than the other two.

I agree. Lois's character is starting to improve in (meaning not too dumb) Season 6. Lana is easily the most annoying. Her rational for relationships & continuing to explain this & that is like watching Jeopardy. Ugh. da da da da DA da da da

Yep, I agree. Great finale but the Season was sub-par overall imo. I agree with your Spoiler scenario's. Now gotta wait till 2008 to catch season 7.

Finished Smallville: Season 4 awhile back, and am on disc 4 of Smallville: Season 5 on hd-dvd.

I have been dvr-ing Season 7 and need to get through seasons 5 and 6 to be all caught up storywise. I don't know, I guess I have liked Smallville a lot. The first few seasons were a bit boring to me, and Seasons 3-5 have been much better. Kristin Kreuk is a good actress from what I can tell, but she doesn't get great depth with Lana Lang. I guess it was one reason I liked Season 4 was because as the Countess, she at least got to play a more exciting role. Lois has gotten a bit better and is funny, but she still is a bit annoying in her character.

I had to watch these all over again, because the stupid seasons on dvd via Netflix were all jacked up, and I was missing 4 episodes at a time with scratched discs. Things are flowing a bit better now. You'd just think that after Lionel realizes that Lex didn't kill Julian, that he would at least warm up to his son. But no, it's the same dynamic there. To me, Chloe's character has the most to it, and you hate to see her wince every time Clark keeps going on and on about Lana.
