Tell Me You Love Me
HBO's new series Tell Me You Love Me is rather eye opening. Again HBO is bringing a series that no one has really the balls to approach. 4 sets of relationships, all at different stages, giving you a very real, honest approach to what goes on behind closed doors. Very intimate and very revealing. I think this will provide lots to talk about between men and women. Only the premiere has been shown so I don't know how the rest of the series will play out, but it looks to be another winner. If your in a relationship this could be for you.

Too bad most of the relationships were extremely cliched. Married couple hasn't had sex in a year, wife shocked that husband jerks off; young couple - guy doesn't want to commit; couple struggling to get pregnant, and the strain it puts on their marriage.
I'm sorry, but all this was was a bunch of "been there, done that" type storylines with a few "shocking" sex scenes thrown in to attract people. HBO gets rid of Deadwood and Rome, and puts on this? ![]()

The ratings were terrible for the premiere, 860k viewers, in comparison to 3-4 million HBO normally got from their original TV shows. This will likely be its only season.

I just started waching the DVDs of this show and I really like it, but then I've always been a sucker for relationship drama handled realistically.
If you watch the whole season it gets really brutally honest and powerful, and every episode ends with some amazing music and imagery combos that tell the whole story in 2 minutes. And those cliches mentioned above really get turned on their heads. |
