Anybody watching this show. BBC Spinoff from Dr. Who. I am adding it to my DVR shortly just to give it a go.

If I haven't watched any episodes of Dr. Who, does it make any sense to try to watch Torchwood, or will I miss a lot of inside jokes and references that were established in the Dr. Who series?

I haven't seen anything about this. What channel is it going to be on? Or is this only a BBC thing?

only a BBC thing and, limacharliewhiskey, you don't need to watch Dr. Who to really follow the show. It stands on its own, form what I understand. To SPOIL (thats for you REAVER) Dr. Who a little, the show only introduces the creation of the Torchwood Institute. Thats it from what I have seen.

It's on BBC-America mainly, and HDNet is broadcasting HD versions. No idea if it will air on Sci-Fi like Dr. Who.

Thanks, sub780lime, I'll have to see if I can squeeze this into my busy TV schedule, now that all the networks are starting their new shows next week.

It's doubtful it'll air on SciFi. I afraid it's a bit too racy on the non-heterosexual front for them.
