Anyone watch the premier....

Still one of the best shows on television

Just watched it last night, and it was pretty good. But still not good enough to watch live instead of Grey's Anatomy.

Didn't really dig the whole "hit Meredith with the car" plot, as Michael tries to place blame everywhere else. Like the scenes fleshing out Angela's character a bit more. Saw an interview with her over the summer, and she's very funny, but she hasn't been able to do much with her stuffy character as others have. That whole dead cat thing with Dwight was pretty good.

Loved the bleeding nipples with Andy. That was a riot. We need more Stanley and Creed and Kevin. Creed naming the drugs was hilarious.

I'm catching up on the Season 1 & 2 reruns on TBS.

Are the episodes now going to be an hour long from here on out? That would be awesome. The one letdown for me about The Office was that it went by too fast. I liked that season opener. I am looking forward to seeing more conflict between Ryan and Michael.

Only the 1st four episodes are hour long. After that, back to half hour format. The reason why we are getting 4 hr long episodes totalling 32 to episodes for season 4 is that they have ramped up production to get as many episodes in the can before the impending actors strike that will halt production of all shows (TV, Films, etc...)

So enjoy it while you can.

The premier was good, but not the best out there. Thank heaven they brought some tension with the Dwight/Angela relationship. I can see the Jim/Pam one getting pretty old pretty fast as there isn't that tension anymore. I do however have full confidence in the writers to make it good.

I did enjoy it, but I also enjoyed the full hour of My Name is Earl better.

Creed is awesome. One of my favorite characters. He is just so creepy.

Well done crew of the Office last night. This episode was far better than the season premier.

Creed's hair
Michael driving into the lake
Kelly's fake pregnancy
Michael's gift basket diplomacy
Ryan's beard and attitude
"Guess he can't have any girl he wants."
Distraught Dwight
Kelly: "I'm dating a lot of black guys."
Kevin and Andy fawning over Ryan
Bitter, bitter Jan

So much good stuff here. I have faith in Season 4 again.

This episode was great. When he is driving into the lake, "Stop yelling at me". That was just great.

This is the year of the Creed. He will steal every scene that he is in. And thats staying alot when going head to head with Michael and Dwight.

Thanks to this show, I've got that ABBA song stuck in my head.

I love this show! It gets better as time goes on.

I think the show works better as a half hour show. These hour long shows seem to drag on and on. The first half hour with the website launch party was pretty funny, but the 2nd half was ridiculously bad, especially Michael holding the pizza delivery boy hostage.

I did like Andy trying to serenade Angela with the speakerphones, and Pam and Jim messing with Dwight with the self-aware website.

I agree with charlie whiskey. The hour long shower is a little to long for my liking. It seems to drag on for the last 20-25 mins.

Agreed. Once they go back to 30 minutes (actually 20 minutes minus the commercials), everyone will be bitching about how short it is.

Were there only 14 episodes this season?

Was the last episode . . .

Spoiler (Highlight or Triple Click to Read):
the one where Toby leaves?

I've downloading them, so I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Love this show.

My thinking is that we are going to see the following in Season 5:

Spoiler (Highlight or Triple Click to Read):
Pam is going to meet someone in school that will cause her to question being with Jim. Essentially, the Pam-Jim love story will be played out some more ending in a breakup at the end of Season 5.

I hope not. I'd like to see them use the relationship in a new, non-Ross & Rachel way.

I could not agree with that more

The whole on/off will they or won't they stuff has been done to death. I loved how they brought Pam and Jim together at the start of this season, jut very quickly and did not dewll on how it happened.

Exactly. And the show has avoided so many sitcom pitfalls. I’d hate to see them stray now.

My thoughts too. I'm going to be very disappointed if it becomes an on/off deal.
