Time travel introduces doubt and paradoxes to everything and makes me totally lose interest. Even when it was starting to go more into the supernatural aspects I was hesitant but would have accepted that more than this.

Big boo for me for lost.
I don't think the writers are going to use time travel i the sense of Back to the Future. Only Desomond's conciousness is what traveled and its only him. I do think the time travel let us in on some clues as to the bigger picture of the show

Spoiler (Highlight or Triple Click to Read):
I think Charles Widmore is the Economist. I read some theories that have him coming up with the race around the world to see if he could not only find the island but send Des there to get rid of him. I think there is more to Widmore then what we're being shown

Well we saw a side of Ben yesterday that was a little unexpected imo. We have always known Ben to be a tad on the Psychotic side, but the jealous, petty stalker side of him even caught me off guard.
Not the best episode of the year but it did set the table for some potential conflicts to come. It also amazes me how Ben can manipulate Locke time and time again. You would think he would learn, but I guess he has always been a sucker so it really shouldn't come as a surprise. Looking forward to next week and its going to be a long wait for it to start up again.

Well Locke has always been manipulated from the beginnng with his father so it comes as no surprise that Ben is able to do it with ease. What I'm wondering though is were are the others during this time that Ben has been Locke's prisoner? The one women we saw with the Juliet episode last week but where are they and what are they planning? On a side note how many want to bet that Michael is the man on the inside that Ben has? It would seem plausable.

Locke is probably the smartest but yet most easily manipulatable character on the show, I think thats what makes the character intriguing. I don't think Ben is manipulating Locke as much as he is calculating his every move. W/ all the time they have him locked away he's calculating and plotting everything he needs to not only survive but get what he wants.

Ben did make a good comment about how if his people wanted him they'd have stormed the barracks by now. I think Ben told them to stay and go to a location we don't know of yet until a certain time arrives. Ben's not dumb nor are his people, I think, smart enough to revolt, they really don't have any reason to and what would they do anyway?

I'll wager all the water in my basement that it is Michael on that boat

Considering Harold Perrineau has been listed in the regular cast for this entire season without making an appearance so far, I'd agree with you.

If it does turn out to be Michael, its probably the worst the show has kept a secret or a surprise.

I think the heading Ben gave to Michael in the S2 finale was the same heading that the helicopter was flying to the freighter 2 weeks ago

They weren't the same but they were close. 325 was told to Michael and the helicopter went 305.

325 - Lostpedia

I agree. So my question was Jin part of the Oceanic Six or not? I have the feeling that he was not. Although Sun and Hurley did go to a gravesite. Also the end with Michael was predictable but good.

I don't think Jin is part of the six, nor do I think he is dead.

His grave said he died on 9/22/2004, so I think Jin sacrificed his place for rescue so Sun can leave.

You know I never even thought of that. I wonder what day they are on the island to try to correlate something. So what do you think Moon, is Jin working for Ben also or did he die protecting her like he said he would?

They said that this episode would reveal the last of the Oceanic six, so Jin has to be one of them. It would make Kate, Jack, Hurley, Sayid, Sun, and Jin. There is a reason Jin has had to separate from Sun and not let her know, or hell she may know, and it probably the same reason they cant talk to anyone about the island, and the same reasons that Sayid is working for Ben. Sun's Dad may very well be involved as well. If Jin isnt one of the 6 then who the hell is the 6th?

So many mysteries and theories I get a damn headache even trying to figure this mess out.

I don't think Jin is part of the Oceanic Six, look at the date of death on his Tombstone, I think somethings up. I'm wondering if they are considering Ji Yeon as the 6th person

I don't think that's the 6. A few weeks ago when ABC was previewing #5 of the Oceanic 6, Aaron (the kid) was the only new character revealed.

The date of death on the tombstone is the date of the Oceanic 815 crash, Sept 22, 2004, as Widmore's cover-up claimed that all the passengers died on that day.

I don't think Ji Yeon is the 6th survivor. Sun is about 2 months pregnant, and each season of Lost seems to cover about one month. Sun will likely still be pregnant by the end of the series.

I think the Oceanic 6 are all considered passengers who were on the flight, so Desmond or Juliet or Ben wouldn't count. That's why Ben is still alive, but doesn't count as one of the Oceanic 6.

There really aren't too many characters left that could be the last one, and the way some characters are, they likely won't leave the island or will die at some point, like Locke or Rose or Michael or Sawyer. Bernard and Claire are two likely candidates, but since Aaron is in Kate's care, Claire probably doesn't make it or remains in hiding or on the island.

Great episode last night, by the way. I didn't figure out the mixed flashback/flashforward until Hurley showed up. I first had my suspicions when Jin was in either China or Korea shopping in the store, because I didn't think Sun wanted to go back to Korea.

I believe Sun said last week or 2 weeks ago that she does want to go back to Korea but I can't be certain.

According to Lostpedia there are only 5 out of the 6 Oceanic 6 revealed, so I'm assuming they either changed something or jumped the gun with the voice over on the preview.

I'm hoping that Claire isn't one of the 6. Her character is basically useless now that Charlie is dead. I'm thinking either Sawyer or Locke. I think something will happen to change Locke's mind and he will want to get off the island.

I think next week's episode is the last until the end of April/beginning of May

I really don't see Locke ever changing his mind about the island. If he leaves he's back in a wheelchair (at least I assume) and he is someone important here not the box company worker back in civilization. Sawyer I could see changing his mind for Kate. It would make sense all along. I might be confused but did we ever find out who was in the coffin that only Jack showed up at the funeral for? I agree with the other posts that sometimes it's hard to keep the facts straight.

We don't know who the coffin as of yet, i'm sure we'll probably find out by the end of the year, but then theres th estory of why they're in the coffin.

Well if Locke goes back he'll probably get a settlement like everyone else and be famous so I wouldn't see him going back to the box company

That was only slightly more annoying than last night's episode.

On an unrelated note, Aaron was confirmed in next week's previews as being one of the Oceanic 6.

I was hoping that Sayid would torture Michael before turning him over to the Captain. I don't trust the Captain or Whidmore, but I also don't trust Ben's agenda. At any rate, I think that clip just shows how terrible his character was. I didn't miss him in Season 3, and I would have been fine if his story had just been dropped from the script entirely.

That said, last night's episode was an interesting one.

Yeah, Michael was one of my less favorite characters, and usually had among the least interesting flashback scenes. At least last night's flashbacks were more interesting for the character.

But with Walt now confirmed being back with civilization, why was Locke seeing ghosts of a "bigger" Walt on the island? Walt hasn't died, but is considered to be "special". The Lost writers are starting to lose me on this particular subplot, if they even care about it anymore.

I don't buy the concept of the island not wanting Michael to die, so that his loaded gun is jamming. This seemed kinda hokey.

Weakest episode this season so far.

Are we getting a new episode next week? I didn't stick around to watch the preview, and I'm seeing one TV schedule saying it's a rerun, while another saying it's new.

I agree with this being the weakest episode so far. The island doesn't want him to die (Lame). There won't be a new episode till April 24.

How do they pull that one off? He wouldn't be on the manifest. I assume that Oceanic would have a listing of the people on board. How do they explain Aaron who wasn't born till he was on the island.
