I'm wondering with only having 8 episodes in the can if there is some sort of cliffhanger or it will just be another episode and thats it. I'm hoping for a mini cliffhanger.

It is a cliffhanger the ends episode eight. While I don't know what it is I do know whose flashback that episode deals with.

the 9 month wait between S3 and S4 was long but worth the wait. This definately was a great season opener and a great lead in to the rest of the season. It sucks this might only be an 8 episode season but the quality of the episodes should be the best Lost can put out there.

Great season premiere. Was surprised that Hurley would be the central character, but because he's one of my favorite Lost characters, I enjoyed the episode even more than usual. And it was a fantastic performance by Jorge Garcia, especially the heartbreaking moment when Hurley tells Claire that Charlie's dead.
I was really surprised by Hurley seeing the visions of Charlie in the flash forwards, so when he showed up at the psych ward, I thought that was really cool. I wonder if every episode will now have flash forwards, and no more flashbacks. That would be cool, trying to figure out who the other 3 of the Oceanic 6 survivors are. Loved it, great start. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Jeremy Davies, the guy who parachutes in at the end. Looks like he's in the regular cast. ![]()

They will have both flashbacks and flashfowards but they haven't said the frequency of either

Anyone have any thoughts on who the other 3 of the Oceanic 6 are? I really want to say that Sawyer is one of them. Even with his recent decision to go with Locke. Also what about Michael and Walt? Are they considered part of that group or another?

If you remember the end of last season, Jack calls Kate and tells her that they need to go back so...Jack, Kate, Hurley, Michael, Julia, and Sun. Those are my guesses.

Jack, Kate, Hurley, Bernard, Rose & Claire
Rose is really close to Jack and trusts him so Bernard will follow. I think they will take Claire because of Aaron to get her and the baby off the island. I think something will happen to Jin & Sun but I could be wrong

Good ratings start for the Lost premiere, getting 16.1 million viewers for last week's premiere. Obviously, it helps that there are few other new episodes for any other shows other than reality crap, but it is an improvement over the 12-13 million that Lost averaged last year.
For those who missed last week's episode, seems like the previous week's episode will be aired at 8PM on Thursdays, right before the new episode at 9PM. That works well for those who want to watch it again anyway as a refresher. I enjoyed last week's episode so much that I'll be watching it again. ![]()

seriously, I didn't know which way was up after watching that episode. Everytime a commercial came on Mrs. Monro would be like, i'm confused and I couldn't even give her an answer as I was trying to make heads or tails of everything.
I think these episodes are probably the best of the series. Next week we find out who another member of the Oceanic 6 is

Another great episode again. I was a bit surprised to see the episode revolve around the "rescuers" with their flashbacks, but I found the characters intriguing and about how they were tied to Oceanic 815.
Dan was played by Jeremy Davies, who brought his usual nervous and unsure mannerisms to this character, seems to know someone on that flight, but that's about it. Miles, played by Ken Leung, we don't know much about him except that he apparently can talk to ghosts or supernatural entities. He might prove useful in figuring out who Jacob is in future episodes. Charlotte, played by Rebecca Mader, who I recognized from the short-lived Justice TV series on Fox last season, found a Dharma Initiative polar bear in Tunisia. Might be the least interesting of the four, but we'll wait and see. And Frank, played by Lawnmower Man Jeff Fahey, seems the most interesting, being the original pilot who was supposed to fly Oceanic 815. I hope most of you recognized that the black man who is Naomi's boss was also the same guy who visits Hurley in the mental ward in his flashforward scene last week. Lots of mystery and questions about him. He doesn't have a name yet, so I'm not sure what to call him. That was a whopper of an ending, but not entirely unexpected, at least by me. I slightly suspected that they might be after Ben or one of the Others, but I was shocked at Ben saying that he has a spy among the people on the freighter. At least that makes sense in how much he knew about Charlotte's background, and why he knows that these people intend to harm him, in particular. But I have a feeling that these 4 "rescuers" don't have any actual ties to Ben, but that Naomi's boss is the one after him. That might make Hurley's flashforward last week make more sense, as Naomi's boss is still trying to find Ben, thus making Ben unlikely to be one of the Oceanic 6. Lost is still indeed one of the best shows on TV now. Those of you who've given up on the show are missing great stuff.

Dude, Lostpedia is the best lost site, it doesn't really have spoilers but it really is like wikipedia for lost. I usually hit it up a little after every episode airs. I love it, it has a ton of info on everything. Like did you notice last week that Jack and Hurley were playing HORSE. Well they ended on H-O. Well H is the 8th letter of the alphabet and O is the 15th. 8 15, its the numbers again, just stuff like that.

Well I only watch 5-6 shows regulary during the tv year and I usually watch them intently. Unfortunately I never said I figured out those connections or easter eggs but was just passing along that everything in lost means something, the credit comes from various lost sites like Lostpedia for providing that info. alot of devoted fans of lost (like myself) do try to figure out some of the extra connections because they are placed there intentionally for people to find, one of the reasons I love ths how

On the flip side, looks like the strike might end tomorrow, so there's a chance that we might see 4 or 5 extra episodes this season if the networks decides to start up the show again immediately. Some rumors have been that the other 8-9 episodes might be shown during May sweeps and/or Fall sweeps, and then they would be back on schedule for 16 episodes next Feb-May.

Viewership still looking good, 15.3 million last week. Slight drop off from the premiere, but still good for #7 overall last week.

2 bits of news regarding Lost today:
1) they're going to do 5 new episodes and complete the season with 13. The remaing 3 episodes will be spread out through the remaining 2 seasons. 2) Looks like they're going back to a 10pm timeslot. I'm not sure when it starts but I'm hoping this proves to be false

The last episode of the current pod (episode seven) will air Mar. 13. Then the show will be off the air for six weeks and return Apr. 24 at 9 p.m.
(That Apr. 24 episode will be the already-completed episode eight, which was filmed prestrike, but which apparently works much better as a minipremiere than it does as a minifinale.) Anyhoo, the following week, on Thurs., May 1, a little show called Grey's Anatomy returns to its usual 9 p.m. time slot, so Lost will move to 10 p.m., where it will stay for the rest of the season. Glad to hear the updated info on the rest of the Lost season. The 10PM move does make sense, as Grey's Anatomy is ABC's best rated show, so that lead-in might even help Lost pick up some extra viewers during May sweeps.

My thoughts were that Sayid was working for Benjamin and protecting the rest of the other survivors who did not go back to the mainland. That other chick he was falling in love with worked for Abdann (the black guy). I haven't enjoyed this series this much since season 1. What a great few episodes so far. So for the Oceanic Six we have: Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, I assume the person who died, and one other. I don't consider Ben part of it because he wasn't part of Oceanic 815. Maybe Walt and Michael??
