The Waiting Game Pays Off!
HA! My waiting has paid off.
Don't know how long this pricing has been in effect, but at Amazon all Star Trek seasons are only $35.49! I already have all 10 movies and all seasons of DS9 and TNG, but I've been waiting for them to go down for VOY and TOS and ENT. I just ordered seasons 1 and 2 of VOY. Pretty pumped. Good to see a payoff after paying $100/season for some series (like X-Files). |

I must be a real cheap ass then, because I don't typically buy any TV seasons until they hit the $20-25 mark. I will end up biting the bullet on some sets though, such as the Twilight Zone collector editions.

You're not alone on this. However, ST sets are typically very high, so the price he is giving is actually a good deal.

Yup. The $20-25 range is much better, but you will never find ST seasons for that price. They've just recently come down for ENT and VOY. I bought TNG and DS9 when they were about $40-50 apiece on eBay. Took a long time to get them all at that price too as they normally went for about $60.
Paramount keeps the price of these sets really high. I was shocked to see them brand new for $35. That's why I posted it. No doubt others have them on the back burner too and would like to pick them up for a good price, but I just don't see them going down to $20. Then again, that's where X-Files is now. |
