Battlestar Galactica prequel

Forgive me if this was already posted, but have any of you heard about the prequel called "Caprica." that is going to be released on TV sometime in the future. I read a few bits about it on another site.

The lst talk of Caprica I heard was like around the beginning of season 3 or end of season 2. I heard 2 things. I heard mini series or series. It of course focused on pre cylon war colonists. 1 family that wasd going to be featured where the Adamas and then another story line featuring the actual cylon creators.

Of course its been a while since I've heard anything about it but I can't imagine Ron Moore is going to let the Galactica universe drop off the radar for to long.

They're currently casting for Caprica right now for its pilot episode. Some notable actors who have been cast are Esai Morales, Eric Stoltz, and Polly Walker. Morales will be playing Bill Adama's father.

They'll likely shoot it over the summer, and it'll air in the fall or winter. I don't know whether they're just shooting a pilot, or if the Sci-Fi Channel has committed to a 13-episode season.

I believe they're doing something like they did with "Galactica" - that is, to do a movie or mini-series with the idea that if Sci-Fi wants, it can serve as the pilot.
