Shrek 3D????

I just came across the 2 pack today at Circuit City and had a few questions I hope you guys can answer.

Is the original movie widescreen?

Can you watch the 3D Movie without the 3d effect on?

Is it really worth the double dip if you own Shrek already?????

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Darth

According to IMDB, Shrek was rendered in 1.66:1, but intended to be shown at 1.85:1. The 2-pak that the Shrek 3D is in crops Shrek to fullscreen.

Just so you know, the Shrek 3D movie is only about 15 minutes long, we've had a few angry customers at Blockbuster because of that.

Individual copy, maybe

I'm guessing that the 3D short might be sold as an individual DVD some time later. Or it might be sold as a 2 pack with Shrek 2 when that comes out.

Considering the length of Shrek 3d, I am willing to bet that it will be included on the shrek 2 dvd as an extra. Especially since this was just a half assed attempt at getting people to double dip

We have a thread on this somewhere already.

In it I mentioned that Shrek 3D (which is basically the film run at the Shrek 4D Universal attraction) would be on the Shrek 2 DVD.

That's up in the air right now, as Uni sounds as if it was annoyed that DreamWorks put out their theme film on disc, but chances are they'll sort it out and the short will be on the new disc.

Having lost Shrek (along with everything else) in Hurricane Charley I wanted to get the 4 disc Shrek: The Story So Far (I'm a sucker for box sets). This way I replace the original get the 3D & Shrek 2. Only problem is that Amazon has the 4 disc set listed as Full Frame only. Someone please tell me this isn't so.

I'm trying to get as many replacements in boxsets when I can like the 2 X-Men, 2 MIB, 3 Harry Potters, 3 LOTR TE (I saved the EE of LOTR). I had all in individual releases before.

It doesn't look as if 3D will be on the Shrek 2 dvd so if I have to rebuy the 2 disc Shrek & get the Shrek 2 I'll miss out on 3D.
