The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury NON-ANAMORPHIC???!!! WTF!!!

IGN has the review up here. There is simply no excuse for this. When was the last time anything with a 1.85:1 OAR was released non-anamorphically? 2000? Just another reason Universal sucks balls.

Since this is an animated related topic i have moved it to our Toon Town forum. NO excuse for no Anamorphic WS release by todays standards anyway. Thankfully i have no real desire to see/own the short movie. BUt it still sucks for the release

I'd be very suprised if 1.85:1 was the OAR anyway.

This was produced by the TV animation devision, who still make all their stuff at 1.33:1 full-frame.

It was probably masked someway through production and will be the "pilot" episode if the Riddick animated series ever makes it out.

Fox released Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 6 with a single widescreen episode (Once More With Feeling) that was not anamorphic. And I'm still pissed off about it.
