Lain, any good? - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

I was wondering if any of you have seen the anime Lain? A friend of mine was wondering if I had it to borrow and he said no. I looked it up and it looked interesting. Anyone seen it and know if it is good?

i'm a huge anime fan, but fell asleep trying to watch this show (i made it through 2 dvd's and gave up) - i really don't understand why this series has such a following...

i would suggest renting the series before investing a lot of money in the dvd's...

Excellent show, great animation and a very interesting story. Can't recommend it enough

Lain is ALL about atmosphere and setting and therefore MOVES AT A SNAIL'S PACE AND IN GENERAL MAKES LITTLE TO NO SENSE.

I find these to be great qualities however.
