"bionics On!"

I was just wondering if I was the only person who loved and watched the Bionic Six in the eighties?. (Channel 11, WPIX - in New York City.)

Also, would I be remiss in assuming Rhino to be the company that releases the show (in season set format of course) on dvd one day?, if ever.

P.S. - My favorite team member was/is Bunji (the asian kid), his bionic persona was named Karate 1 (what ethnic stereotype?). I had a huge crush on Rock 1 (blond chick that always wore headphones), she and Cheetara from ThunderCats made my winky feel funny.

Ah, those were the days.

oh i'm definatley with you, i even had some of the toys, i remember them being made of real metal and have some sort of plastic gem in them that would catch the light, they used to show reruns of them on the SciFi channel's cartoon quest years ago........ah i love being a child of the 80s

Monrozombi,

I've been looking for you all my life. I've finally found the only other person who watched the Bionic Six. Wow. This is a dream come true. .

Curious, did you fancy any one of the six in particular?.

i too liked the show the figures were diecast with clear parts for the bionic stuff (an arm on one figure, a leg on another etc)

I originally thought that Bionic Six was just a crappy show created to sell toys, but after watching a couple times I was hooked. I got short changed though, most of the time I could only watch the first 2/3 of the show before I had to go catch my school bus. Great show. I too was a fan of Karate and yes Rock 1 was definitely a hotty.

I loved this show. Maybe it was 'cause it was on during a time when I watched a ton of sci-fi cartoons, but this one had something really cool about it. I remember the animation style being pretty decent, and who can ever forget that theme song??

Bionic, Bionic Six, oohoo-oohoo,
We're all together, we fight for right!
A super-future-family
And we’re so very proud to be:
Bionic Six!
