anyone know anything about this release?

It says Anchor Bay as the distributor, but nothing is on their website.

Nothing about it on animeondvd.com either, which is odd, as when anything anime related is announced they usually post either on the forums or on the news page about them... Oh well, if its any good Ill have to pick it up, as my goddamn mothers POS ex boyfriend borrowed it, then of course they broke up. Goddamnit.

Well, if I had to guess, its probably another DVD version of the original Ghost in the Shell movie. But I don't know for sure. You have the GITS stand alone complex TV series coming out over the next few months. Then theres the GITS 2: Innocence movie in theartres sometime in....I think....September. So maybe Anchor Bay is going to cash in on the sequel.

This would be my guess, too. And I don't know why several sites are listing Anchor Bay as the distributor. The movie was a Manga Entertainment release, while the TV series is a Bandai release.

I wonder if they'll get the music over the Japanese credits right this time?

Either way, I'll glady be buying this the day it comes out.
