Looks like another great visual treat from Dreamworks. Nicce caps of the screen shots and cover/disc art. Very happy to see the stupid #1 Comedy movie banner gone as well.

Any chance to see how the audio is for the movie? or any of the extras?

The thing that made the original Shrek a 2 disc set was the inclusion of FullScreen. Anyways, this set has lots o features, and if you loved the movie, don't delay!

can you just push stop on the player during the forced trailers, and then hit play to go direclty to the movie?

Well see I don't own the original Shrek because I can't find a WS copy anywhere. In addition the Shrek/Shrek 3-D set was only available in full screen. I want Shrek 2, but I want to own them both, so I am hoping the Story So Far set will have both movies in WS.

Actually, all the menus are exactly the same as a Bootleg release
i got from a friend months and months ago.
(Again, I do not condone bootlegs at all. Havent even watched the film)

Seems like someone from got a hold of the menu design from DreamWorks somehow
and pressed up the bootleg forms.

I don't know if I want to buy this or wait another year for HD-DVD/Blu-Ray's Release. I saw the making of Shark Tale in HD, which I have NO interest in, however the clips in HD were just absolutely STUNNING. I'm in between on this release.

What do you guys think?

it's still so up in the air on which format will take off,
plus early titles probably will still be 'testing the format'.

who knows when Shrek will be released on 'the next DVD'......
Either get it now, or pick it up in the used bin

Well, as I've said before, the only reason why the first movie had a two disc SE was because they included a Pan and Scan version on Disc two. This disc has a lot of features. I have heard nothing about a re-release.

If this would ever be re-released, I'd give it at least a year, but by then HD-DVD/Blu-Ray will be out, so it wouldn't even be worth it

I was really excited for this release, having been the only person in the world who missed the Shrek 2 in the theater...

But, it kind of sucks.

I hardly laughed...the little movie parodies seemed forced, the situation with her father was the worst sitcom pap, etc. The original just seemed so much fresher, funnier, and smarter.

Am I the only one who feels this way? I would put Shrek 2 on a par with Ghostbusters 2 -- not terrible, but a significant letdown.
