Animaniacs Vol. 1 coming July 25th

Well looks like some classic childhood (well 90's at least) are starting to see a light of hope. Yes everyone Yakko, Wacko and Dot are coming to dvd.

From TVShowsonDVD.com

Quote:
We had the scoop four months ago that Animaniacs - Volume 1 would hit the streets on July 25th. And the set is even more impressive than we thought at the time! It's a 5-DVD compilation of 25 episodes...750 minutes of Yakko, Wakko and Dot for $44.98 SRP. Video is full-screen, as originally shown. Audio is English, with subtitles in English, French and Spanish.

Besides the episodes listed below, you'll also get "Animaniacs Live!", where comic Maurice LaMarche hosts an in-studio style interview via satellite big screen TV with Animaniac friends as they comment on the Steven Spielberg's classic animated show.

1. "De-Zanitized", "The Monkey Song", "Nighty Night Toons"
2. "Yakko's World", "Cookies for Einstein", "Win Big"
3. "HMS Yakko", "Slappy Goes Walnuts", "Yakko's Universe Song"
4. "Hooked on a Ceiling", "Good Feathers" (Pilot)
5. "Taming of the Screwy" (Parts 1-3)
6. "Flipper Parody" (song), "Temporary Insanity", "Operation Lollipop", "What Are We?" (song)
7. "Piano Rag", "When Rita Met Runt"
8. "The Warner's Lot Song", "The Big Candy Store", "Bumbie's Mom"
9. "Wally Llama", "Where Rodents Dare"
10. "King Yakko"
11. "No Pain: No Painting", "Les Miseranimals"
12. "Garage Sale of the Century", "West Side Pigeons"
13. "Hello Nice Warners", "La Behemoth", "Little Old Slappy from Pasadena"
14. "La La Law", "Cat On A Hot Steel Beam"
15. "Space Probed", "Battle for the Planet"
16. "Chalkboard Bungle", "Hurray for Slappy", "The Great Wakkorotti: The Master & His Music"
17. "Roll Over Beethoven", "The Cat and the Fiddle"
18. "Pavlov's Mice", "Chicken Boo-Ryshnikov", "Nothing But the Tooth"
19. "Meatballs or Consequences", "A Moving Experience"
20. "Hitchcock Opening", "Hearts of Twilight; The Boids"
21. "The Flame", "Wakko's America Song", "Davey Omelette", "Four Score and Seven Migraines Ago"
22. "Guardin' the Garden", "Plane Pals"
23. "Be Careful What You Eat" (song), "Up the Crazy River", "Ta Da Dump"
24. "Yakko's World of Baldness", "Opportunity Knox", "Wings Take Heart"
25. "Disasterpiece Theatre", "Hercule Yakko", "Home on De-Nile", "A Midsummer Night's Dream"

At the top left of this story is a thumbnail-sized image provided by our retail contacts which came along with the information from Warner about this release. Below is a different image which e-tailer TLA Video is showing. We're not sure which one is the final cover art, so we compromised and are showing you both for now. When we get a high-res shot of the final cover art, we'll be sure to pass it along to you. Thanks to reader Paul Mikesell for being the first with the heads-up about the TLA listing. Stay tuned for updates!

Great to see it coming out, but I don't care much for the coverart. Now, I don't care like some do, but I would have rather just seen the water tower style shot on there.

Same here. I would of had maybe the 2nd cpver with them jumping out of the water tower. If not just use one of there several ending moments with them from the tower. I guess we should be grateful for what we get

Cool to see this getting a release. My wife asks me from time to time why we don't have this (and Pinky and the Brain). But good to hear. I'll have to debate picking it up.

Wow, if I can believe the suggested retail price I saw here of $44.98, I may have just been priced out of buying this.

Ah. Problem is I am moving tomorrow, so I will (and have been) on a pretty strict budget for the last few months and probably thru the summer.

Haven't bought anything new since March, I think.

Yuck! That obnoxious little show got on my nerves as I was forced to watch it with friends so many times. The only good I got from it was the ability to call my cursing friends "potty mouth."
