I've always enjoyed the version I have but it will be nice to have this one with all the extras. |

Yeah, it was announced last month. I'll wait and see what "special features" are on it. If it will truly be a special edition, it will be absolutely required to have the Stan Bush video of "The Touch". Without it, the DVD will be incomplete.

I too have the previous release and I am NOT happy with it.
1: so called "Special Edtion" has a few story boards, and a interview with the composer. No trailer, no music videos, .2: the audio is all messed up, I have a very nice (well DECENT ) 700watt 7.1 surround sound setup, and the movie is in 5.1 MONO . I mean dialoge comes out of all 5 of my speakers, instead of the center channel .3: it is in FULLSCREEN ![]() So I am holding off untill A: i hear that they at least fixed the audio/video presentation. and B: that it has more 'under the hood' so to speak

Yeah, fullscreen, ya know I never really thought about that. It just seemed to blend into my mind since the tv show was obviously fullscreen to. It just seemed to fit.
I think I have that "The Touch" music video somewhere. I'm sure they'll come up with something neat for us... they better throw in some tidbits about the upcoming 2007 movie also. |

Now I'm confused. Is this thing pillar-boxed 4:3 or 16:9?
Link edit: Nevermind. I was confusing this release: for this release: I will definitely triple dip on this if it really is 16x9.

I watched an announcement video that shows side by side comparisons to the older rhino and the new sony/bmg version. and it showed a clip of prime transforming to truck mode to confront megatron in WIDESCREEN
, and it said in the video that it IS 16x9 widescreen for the first time since it was in theaters in 1986. Now if it has a PROPER 5.1 audio mix, none of that 5.1 mono crap, I am SO getting this ![]() 20th Anniversary Transformers Movie DVD Preview here is the 'video' about the TF 20th movie DVD
