Transformers Generation One Tin box set

ok just so everyone sees i made a new thread with pics of the tin set i got... i also have video clip of the dvd playing this set has a different main menu much nice and easier to use...

ok let me explain the set then you can see the pics...

ok first off the set is 15 discs. 13 for the whole series, one for the movie, adn one whoel disc full of extras... picture qual is awsome and sound much better then the wooden box version that i have... once you open up the tin you have a nice foam cover with the key chain a black one, after you remove the foam cover, you have a nice book with a slip cover, u then take the book out of the slip cover it has 15 pages each page then hold the disc like a folder the disc slides out from the top of each page, each page is label disc 1,2 3 and so on, on the back of each page there are pics of the auto bots and desepticons and has stats on them.. after you take the bok out there is another foam bottom but under that is a nice folder that holds like 15 cards ... semi glossy of different transformers... hope this makes sense... here are the pics....

Looks good, but is it still out of sequence like the wooden box set? And how much $$$ did it set you back?

That’s awesome! I see you say the sound quality is better but is the picture quality better than the wooden box set? Also can you take a few pics of some footage from an episode? Where did you order yours from and how much did it cost and how long did it take you to receive it if you don’t mind my asking Thanks again for everything :-) I have been looking into getting a set for the last year but wanted the one with the best quality

thats the problem, i am NOT happy with the box, the messed up episode order and the fact that i have no idea what eps are on what disc being in japanese or chinese. I want the set thats more in proper order. If i knew that this set was like that, i would have held on to my rhino sets .

Doesn't it seem likely that with next summer's film release we will also get re-releases of the Transformers season sets, or maybe entirely new releases? I can't imagine they'll let it pass without trying to cash in, or is there something I don't know about the rights?

they might but i am sure they will want big $$$ for each set...

getting it this way is cheaper , like i say i paid $45 including shipping for all 4 seasons plus the movie in a nice tin. if they do re-release them next year and they are selling for cheap and has some kick butt packaging..i will get other wise i am happy with my tin set and wood box set...

I will post about the audio latter only had them in for a min to check the video quality. I will be posting screen caps soon need to get a website to host the images so hopefully tomorrow or late tonight. Also the Armada DVDs are here as well and will be posting a review for them on the main board as I did for the HeadMasters MasterForce and Victory soon still waiting on the Zone and ScrambleCity movies

Screen Captures Of Tin Box And Small Review

Ok here are screen captures this set is the Rhino set that was released here in the USA! But the commercial bumpers are not in the episodes but some are on a bounus disc
I also included some stuff from the bonus disk it’s full of commercial bumpers for USA and Japanese episodes mistakes made while filming are pointed out and comparisons between restored footage and original footage ,
Botcon 2001 coverage some previews of the Victory transformers series and some web cast transformers episodes made bay fans. Image quality is very good it’s not as crisp as the American DVDs but not very noticeable! Audio Sound is surround and is awesome VOICE COMES OUT OF CENTER SPEAKER ONLY!!!!! not all 5 and is never drowned out. And it dose have all the new sound effects that Rhino added. The episode order seams ok Thus far will keep everyone updated on that BUT Transformers the movie is on the last disc with the Rebirth episodes which I was not happy about!! Again if anyone else wants more screen captures please let me know! This is defiantly worth the price all the American DVDs for $55 + Transformers The Movie is a lot better than $300 that the Rhino DVD sets are going for on ebay! And all the sound issues that the Rhino ones had are defiantly fixed in this set
