sad Samurai Champloo problem

Ok, anyone who enjoyed Samurai Champloo, probably loved the downtempo hip hop music and attitude of it. If you watched it on Adult Swim, you know that curse words were usually covered with a dj scratching a record. All this time, I thought the show was made that way. Now I find out that Adult Swim added those scratches.

The thing that bothers me is that is was PERFECT that way! It almost added an extra element of humor to the show when they would scratch over a curse word. My problem is that I now I can't imagine buying the dvds because they will be different (uncensored) I know a lot of you hate censorship, but anyone who watched the show on Adult Swim (especially those who first saw it that way) have to admit how cool the scratches are. They just fit in perfectly with everything about the show.

I'm pretty bummed about it honestly, and have no idea what I'm gonna do.

So are you mad that the scratches are there, that you found out or that like the Boondocks dvds they will probably be uncensored?

I would have thought people watching the show on Adult Swim knew the curse words that where sure to be coming had to be bleeped out, I mean if you watch AS on a regular basis you know that stuff gets censored. It is after all just the Cartoon Network not HBO.

Didn't the DVDs start coming out long before the Cartoon Network started showing them? As I recall the DVDs are of high quality. Although I always watch in it's original language, so I'm not sure what the dub is like.

I'm mad that the scratches (won't) be on the DVD release. And also I don't like cursing. (did he really say that?) Yes, I don't like cursing. Regardless, I just think it was cooler that way, as I pointed out before, it just fit right in with the hip hop attitude of the show. (to me anyway)

I don't think they were released in America before Cartoon Network showed it, but I could be wrong.

Well you know how much more impressionable out kids are than the rest of the worlds. We'd rather have the kids see killings and murders on tv than hear some unediited "fucks".
