New Popeye the Sailor DVD - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

Went to Sam's Club yesterday and they had plenty of copies of this. Brought it home and it has a sticker on the front of the package that says "Bonus inside, exclusive reprint of a vintage 1936 Popeye adventure comic book. My copy had a flyer with a spinach receipe on it but no comic book. I took it back to Sam's this morning and exchanged it for another copy. When I got home, still had same flyer inside but no comic book. How many times should I take it back till I get one that has it inside? It does say while supplies last, but since it went on sale yesterday that shouldn't be a problem. Since it was almost $50 is the store going to let me exchange it again and again till I get a comic book? Sounds like I could have a hassle on this one. But I do want my comic book!!!!

I would call the company that produced the dvd, sounds like they just need to send you one instead of having you go back to Sams over and over again, I think eventually they're going to tell you no more exchanges.

Believe it or not, I contacted Sam's and the manager had me hold while he contacted the buyer to see if it was a glitch affecting all the copies at Sam's. He came back on the line and said to take my copy back to the store and ask for a refund. They were going to send me a copy with a comic book in overnight mail at no cost to me!!!! Now that is a deal!!!!
Sam's is cool!!!

The same thing happened to me with my Popeye DVD also purchased from Sam's. I wasn't so lucky with the Sam's Club in my area. All they did was offer me a refund so I took it. I wonder where I can get a copy with the comic book included?..

How is the book packaged with the DVD? Can you see if it's in there before opening it?

Best Buy is offering the dvd contained in an "exclusive tin" so I can't see if the book in included there. Border's doesn't have it at all in there stores and don't plan on carrying it. ( Boo to them!)

I don't know what to do....

Any suggestions are welcome.
