Bender's Game
Got it yesterday and watched it last night.
Really enjoyed it. Had some good classic Futurama to it. The first two d2dvd shows felt long to me, but this didn't. I wasn't watching my watch to see how long it had been. There were several lol moments in it. I think it was probably the best of the three released so far. Looking forward to giving it another view sometime soon. I got the standard version, not BD. Would have gotten the BD version, but wanted standard because everything else I have in Futurama is in SD and I have all of it on my Zune120. If the BD version had a downloadable version I could put on my Zune, I probably would have gotten the BD version though. |

Just watched it tonight myself with some friends. Overall it was an ok movie. I thought the opening when they are in the real world was (like you said) Classic Futurama. I thought it kind of lost its punch once we got into the D&D or LOTR world for the 2nd half of the movie. It didn't seem to know where they exactly wanted to go but thankfully found its footing again near the end. I will still probably buy this on Blu-ray in the near future or tomorrow. Even with the movie being good but not great. I always find there are plenty of laughs in the commentary track and will b the first thing i will jump too once i get my copy

The others have totally lost my interest after about an hour. The same thing happened with Bender's Game. Now I'm a D&D nut from way back, but that whole sequence just dragged on and on and they seemed more interested in getting their inner geek out rather than serving the story. After this latest movie, I dont feel the need to see any more of them. I can be happy reliving 5 great seasons of the original show. |

I agree with some of your points, but have enjoyed them nonetheless. Just happy to have Futurama back--for now. |

ahh yes. there have only been 3 movies.
and I'm pretty sure there were 5 seasons.. Futurama (a Titles & Air Dates Guide) season 1 was only 10 episodes and started in April as a mid season replacement. Then it came back in Fall '99 with a full season. Then those 2 seasons were put together in one box set for the DVD release. anyways, there was about 70 good episodes of the show |
