Up (Pixar)

Have you all seen the trailer for Pixar's new one, Up? It's coming out May 29th, and is actually going to be in 3-D, a first for Pixar. I think it looks pretty entertaining, and I've yet to be let down by any of Pixar's previous films.

I will make every effort not to miss this one. I also like that dog collar. I want one for Tobie (our beagle) so badly. We always wonder what's going on in that crazy dog's head.

Article at CNN says they showed UP at Cannes and it was a big hit (10 for 10). I think Pixar = Perfect & I can't wait to see it.

Saw that article this morning, definitely a good read. They do a nice job recapping some of the favorable reviews that have come out of the Cannes screening. Really looking forward to this one after reading all the amazing and positive things critics had to say about Pixar's latest.

I saw it this weekend and loved it. Pixar is just so good at making movies and tell stories that interest people. It's so cool, you just sit down and for 90 minutes get shown this entertaining story. I saw it in 3-D and was blown away by the picture. It's crystal clear and you can really see the detail in the animation, which by the way was extremely impressive. The time they spent on Carl's clothes really paid off. It looked so life like. Definitely check this one out.

I thought it was great. I didn't love it as much as "Wall-E", but that's probably just because of my own personal tastes toward the sci-fi setting. Either way, "Up" is another absolute win for Pixar, though.

My god, that bit where the kid is dragging along the window... I know they showed it all over the trailers and commercials, but I just about near died laughing in the theatre at that.

And the entire time, I was thinking to myself, "I know that voice..." whenever Muntz was talking. And I had to go "duh" when I watched the credits and saw it was Christopher Plummer. Ed Asner did a wonderful job, as well.

Loved the movie, but only issue I had with it was when Muntz was shooting at the group, which included the kid, with a shotgun at the end.

The PG rating was there for a reason.

Loved the movie, especially Dug. "Point!"

What I thought was crazy was the tear-jerker opening montage. What a freakin' ballsy way to open a 'family' movie.

Well in a way i guess so, but we grow old with them for the few brief moments. Saw it last night and will say it needs to be seen in 3D. The opening was misty eyes for me (i was a man and held back the tears) but damn it every time that theme music came on i got misty again.

The 3-D is definitely good stuff, we can agree that whether it's seen in 2-D or 3-D doesn't matter greatly, as long as you see it. But if you do have the opportunity to see it in 3-D, do so. It's just a wonderful picture, and you can really appreciated the animation that much more.
