Dave, you can't watch the SAME DVD over and over again and think your Sony has no problems with DVDs.....

(Joking of course)

How many DVDs have you run through your Sony (if you had to guess)?

Cool setup.... will you post pics at some point?

Peace.....

Do you rent DVDs? I own almost 200 DVDs but I've run closer to 400 - 450 (including the titles I own) through my player. I have NOT had 100% success but I tend to have 97% success rate with DVDs..... meaning I've had a few problems with a few DVDs.....

Peace.....

Friends of ours have a dvp-s360 which they have had since august 2000 and they haven't complained.

I have a DVP-S330 which is now my second dvd player and I've only had the lipsynch problem a few times with it (and it hasn't cropped up in any of the newer dvds that I've put through it....)

I have an RCA player I bought in April of 1997, that I have since gave to my parents that still works.

It does not get used all the time anymore, but before college I used that thing religiously.

It has never given me glitches.

BUMP

I edited my list of components and TAADAH!! I Finally got PICS up .

here is a wide shot of the front of the HT, i could only get so far back cause of my bed being in the way.

Here is a close up of my cabinet, containing my Pioneer amp, my Toshiba VCR, and my Sony DVD player. Oh and my XBOX, and left front speaker, and The Baaaaaaaaaaaatman

Here is a close up of my tv stand, my Toshiba TV, my center speaker, my right front speaker, and Spiderman saying how he feels about FULL FRAME/Pan and Scan DVDs

Finally, a rear shot of my HT, showing my cleverly placed rear speakers, my rear center speaker i plan on attaching to brackets attached to my headboard, but i havent had the chance to attach them yet .

Well, thats my humble little Home Theater, its not much, but it sounds GREAT

Ok, I'm gonna bite....what the hell is that upsidedown thing under your front left speaker?

BATMAN ROCKS!

Oh...I don't see any car models? Not even one? Come on man....

For a bedroom, your setup must sound incredible. But I gotta ask isn't it a litle overpowering in the rear? Or do you have those puppies turned way down?

Again....

That is my good as money can buy front speaker stands (free milk crates from a late night trip to a CLOSED Dairy Queen ) I heard you get better sound when the speakers dont sit on the floor . I plan on getting better stands in the future, but they work great, i just have to take and clean em up and maybe spray them a nice satin black to match the entertainment center

As for the models, they are on my bookshelf in the living room, most of my models are at my local hobby store in a glass display case where they are safe till i get my own place

And YES, i do have my rears turned down but not that much, the picture is tough to tell, but ACTUALLY my rear speakers are about a foot behind my headboard
