Here's a question for you: how does the video quality from the DirectTV STB differ from DVD video quality on your TV? Can you tell the difference between watching satellite broadcasts of shows vs DVDs? Have you watched the SAME movie on DVD and via satellite broadcast to compare the video quality?

I've heard satellite video is much higher resolution than DVD and I would guess it would look BETTER, even on an analog TV.

Is this true?

Also, what brand of speakers do you have?

Peace.....

the Video quality IMO is better on DVD, not as soft and compression is quite a problem on DirectV right now
Never watched to compare quality
Not sure if resolution is supposed to be higher on DTV.
Of course Audio quality of DVDs kicks DTV's ass all over the house

NHT Superzero XU speakers

They would be PERFECT for a small space such as a basement apartment, not expensive at all about $125 apieceOne thing though a sub is a must, they don't have a lot of base, but they sound very natural
