You have towers in the rear, too? Very nice.

The screen looks fantastic.

Thx Snip!

I just added new seating and more shots of the theater. I could not afford the HT chairs with cup holders but i'm loving these recliners. Next on my list is painting the ceiling and walls and then decor.

Wow....Terence, honestly - wow !

I LOVE the screen (perfect horizontal alignment), I LOVE the room layout, I LOVE how beautifully neat it is, I LOVE the breadth of the front stage (I can only imagine the rich expansive presentation it must cast. I long to have my speakers in a room of such width someday).
And I LOVE the fact that you are still an AR Hi-Res'er(when I saw the title of your thread my heart skipped a beat in fear that you had acquired new speakers; I'm sure that day will come, but til then I'm glad you're still on the team).

Terence. You've out done yourself my friend.

Superb.

Simply, superb.

WOW!

Reese thx i'm really floored by your compliments, almost left me speechless. YES i still love my AR's buddy and i can't see parting with them anytime soon, so no worries there. I must say that the opening of the soundstage really improved the sound, bass is fuller and the center sounds like a new speaker! By it being on top of the RPTV seem to cripple the sound, now that it's on a stand BIG difference. It's become my favirote speaker out of the bunch. I wiil be painting the HT room next sat & i can't wait to see how everything looks then. Thx again buddy for the kind words.

Hi PH,

Naw I'm running 9.2 L/C/R 2-SR/SL & SBL/SBR. The room as you can see is shape well different so depending on where you are siting left or right seat you can't hear the left or right surround so i added two AR sat speakers. I run them off the receiver all the rest powerd by the 5ch Marantz and 2ch Kenwood amps. It works damn good too.

I think that is what you were asking. If this not what you refering too let me know.

P.S. THX!

Hey guys!

I have to also tell you about my NEW toy!

HT intro dvd!!

This thing is SOOOOOOO SWEEEEEEET!

I have the custom version, only after but the standard one. I wanted the custom one. It's called "The Home Theater Pre-Show Show" It is a 15 minute dvd that will make you think you are at a real theater. There is theater style music, trivia and information slides like "Who Said That?", Hollywood Dictionary, TinselTown Trivia and Cell Phones Off Please. Looks like this.

All in DD 5.1 and 16:9 1:78 to 1 or HDTV

This one is animated.

The disc video is crystal clear, and he used a professinal voice guy for the count down to show time. My wife thought it was one of the coolest ideas she has seen in a while. I just thought i would share this with my fellow HT nutts. The link is below.

The Home Theater Pre-Show Show

Let me know what you think.

That is so very cool.

Now all you need is a group of obnoxious teens sitting in the frontrow throwing popcorn at the screen to complete the illusion.

Or, he could simply invite you and I over.......although, that might be worse than the teens.

Updates.....

Well i finally got my custom cup holders (4) from my wood guy. He also built my A/V rack, they look great! Now i don't have to hold my drinks or put them on the floor on a coaster.

Ahhh the little things that can make us so happy sometimes, and this is one of those time.

I also added curtins to go along with the valences, and a X-10 IR pyramids reapeaters.

I got them from Linens 'n Things just in case anyone was looking.

That's it for now, and you know how long "for now" last in this hobby!

Well i like to take my time with my drink.

The X-10 thingies are so i can control my Pre/Pro in the rack behind me. Every since i painted the walls and ceiling, i can only control all of my gear pointing at the screen except for the Pre/Pro. So i had to buy the IR repeaters pyramids, to control it with out pointing the remote behind me at the rack.

*****Upgrade Updates*****

Ok i have replaced my dvd changer, and surround backs amp. First the dvd changer, since there are not that many mid to high end dvd changers to choose from. The Sony DVP-NC555ES fit the bill. I love having a changer vs a single tray player, b/c i play around with movies & listen to mucsic a lot. This ES player also plays SACD's, and did good on Secret's dvd player torture test. I wish it came in black, oh well so the NC655P is out and the NC555ES is in. I must say PQ is really good and smoke my old changer.

Sony DVP-NC555ES

Next up is the amp swap out. I replaced the Kenwood KM-991 that was powering my SBL & SBR with a Adcom G
