Where PolloDiablo Watches his Movies

This isn't really as much of a room as it is a converted hallway, there's a couch against the wall across from the TV, and the room is pretty narrow so it's about 4 feet from couch to TV. we had the entertainment center and cabinets custom built in and it works pretty well for what it's intended for, there's not much room for expansion but with the size of the room it's not really needed. I'll probably be getting my own place in the next two years so I plan on getting myself a nice widescreen tv and some quality components then.

The door to my room is just off camera to the right of the Star Wars poster, this room used to really be for everybodys use but as my collection grew it kind of took over everything.

As sad as it is there is no actual orginization to my DVD collection, other than my Horror/Sci-Fi collection which is on the bottom shelf everything else is just kind of put where ever it fits, one day I'll actually figure out how to organize everything.

Here's a closer view of some of my toys, my McFarlene 12" Edward Scissorhands is my pride & joy, he's motion sensitive so that if you move in front of him he moves his arms and scissors. The clapper board thingy I picked up at MGM Studios in Disney world when I was like 12. Also a few of my rentals: D.O.A., Stranger Than Paradise, & Rosemary's Baby

I keep all my TV on DVD on this side of the counter with my books. My books are: Industrial Light & Magic; No Strings Attached: Inside Jim Henson's Creature Shop; Film Posters of The 40's; Trash (a great exploitation film poster book); Cinema Year by Year: 1894-2003; American Splendor; & Video Hound's Cult Flicks & Trash Pics (an essential for cult film fans).

This is actually where I watch most of my movies.

I used to be really really into collecting Star Wars stuff but after my disappointment with the new films I've pretty much given up on it.

I like the cabinets that you had custom built there. They are a nice fit for the hallway, and display your collection well.

Yeah, they work pretty well but as you can see from the picture the top two rows of DVDs are just stacked on top of each other, so I really need to get a second glass shelf. Seeing as how my collection has outgrown my current storage options anyway I've been looking for some kind of alternative, Ikea has a couple of nice cabinets that have me interested.

That is a nice set-up PolloDiablo! Even though the room is part hallway, can't tell from the pics. I like the placement of your dvds & components, very well orginized. Good stuff.
