Damn nice, and love the dvd collection!

Compliments on the cable routing of the component cables along the ceiling, very slick.

Guess you like Star Wars huh?

Damn fine theater room you've got! As far as digitals go, thats an awesome pj as well!

One small piece of advice though, I'd move those posters and DVDs away from the screen. As the light reflects off them, and back to the screen damaging the contrast, not to mention creating moving video in the reflections which distract the eye.

Love the carpet as well, thats exactly what I want in my HT, but the rest of the house refuses.

P.S, Speaking of Star Wars. I've got an original Imperial Walker toy from shortly after ESB originally came out. It's not in a box, but it still looks good, I'd let you have it for a good price if you want.

The reflection is not that bad, actually. I draped cloth over the 2 side walls to see what the difference would be. I could tell very little contrast change and I loooooove my posters! I've got a sweet connection and alot of times I get them before the theatre does, so they must go up!

Thanks. I found those at Home Depot ($7.95). After all the work from building the screen and PJ mount, I'm a Home Depot super fan.

Ain't that f-ing awesome! Cool man....cool. Can ya tell us a bit about the PJ? Specs and all? I see Home Depot channels - (when your done painting the ceiling black, don't forget to paint the channels too )

Looks great man.

16x9 (WXGA)
Native: 1280x720
Image Size: up to 200", but Im running it a 109"
Lens shift (this is a life saver)
whisper quiet fan.
Brightness: 800 lumens
Video Types: HDTV,1080i, 720p, 480p, 480i, DVI-I (HDCP)
And it only weighs 9 pounds!

I highly reccomend this PJ to anyone buying. the only drawback that Ive found so far, is that you have to clean it pretty often. It's easy to clean though.

Been collecting since birth. It's a sickness.

Thanks for the kind words.

Any chance of hooking your ole buddy Snake up with that connection?

If someone pointed a gun to my head and forced me into using a digital pj, the Z2 is the only one I'd choose, hands down.

ooh, yeah paint that ceiling a nice matte black and you'd really be rockin. Either way, it's a nice setup. I'm always in admiration when you can hide cords. I know some audiophiles love the chaos of all the cords, but it's elegant when you can make it look like the speakers aren't hooked up and are just free standing, same with the projector.

Most likely when I get my own place, I'm planning on putting most of my current components into my room, and turning the living room into a dedicated home theatre. So I'm definately going to look at your setup, same with plissken's as a model for doing something like that.

Again, congrats, very nice. Not a big star wars fan, but damn impressive.

Well, he's just a buddy of mine, that slips me one sheets "under the table." He can ususally only get one for him and one for me, but If you are looking for a specific one sheet, I can always ask him if hes got any extra.

I've changed the HT a bit and I've got some new pics coming. The HT photos might go down for a day or two, but they'll be back. Not that theres a high demand for them.

Thanks

My new-old remote is here. I went from the TSU2000 to the 3000 to the 1000. The 3000 sucked the proverbial balls in my opinion. I'm very pleased with the 1000. Only difference between the 1000 and 2000 is 1mb of memory which I dont realy need. I'm now in FULL CONTROL!!!!

I'll post some real pics when I update the photo gallery.

Peace

It does have 7.1 input and it does have DSPIIx. Not sure about game mode. The reason I didnt get the 1014 is that I'm a fan of the ELITE line.

You've lost me. Why wouldnt it have 5.1? According to the site it has 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1. Did I miss something?

sorry, at the avsforum they said that the vsx1014 only had a 5.1 input, i need a 7.1 input, does the 52 have one, or is it just 5.1 input?

You can hook up 7 speakers. I'm not sure if that means that its true 7.1 or not. I'm not even sure how to tell what "true" 7.1 is. I know it does DTS ES 6.1, but the specs below state that it is 7 channels.

[Power Amplifier Design A.D.E MOS FET
Surround Power 110 x 7 (20HZ - 20kHZ @ 8 ohm, 0.09% THD
Stereo Power 110 x 2 (20HZ - 20kHZ @ 8 ohm, 0.09% THD
Digital Decoding & Processing
Digital Engine Motorola 48-Bit Processing
Dolby Digital 5.1 Yes
Dolby Digital EX Yes
DTS 5.1 Yes
DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 Yes
DTS 96/24 Yes
DTS NEO 6 Yes
Pro-Logic II DPL IIx
THX Yes
Surround EX Yes]

Click the link in the previous post for full specs.

Although it only has a 5.1 input, it is still a great receiver, but in my case, a 7.1 input is a must.
