ScottnKat's Home Theater Setup
Here's a couple pics of our home theater. Unfortunately, we don't have the room to have a dedicated home theater room, so we have to make due with the livingroom setup.

Looks like you have an awwesome setup for yourself but sadly i am getting nothing picture wise here. Tried to copy the properties and open in the address bar and nothing. I think it might be the site you are using as i works normally for the user themself for some reason.
I would suggest using PhotoBucket.com for free picture hosting. As i shall be back to post my reactions of the pictures/set up later

They are showing up now and DAMN YOU!!! for having such a nice big screen tv. Very nice looking setup indeed for the room you are using it in.

Okay - we just made a nice upgrade - we finally got rid of the cheap-o Yamakawa DVD player. Previously, we used that for all our non-region 1 DVDs, as the Denon had problems with anything that wasn't region 1. It was somewhat sad because the Denon looked so much better, but options are limited when talking about other region DVDs. Well, we just solved our problems. We picked up another Denon 2900 that had been modded by 220-electronics.com. Now my Denon is region free so I can watch all my region 2, 3, and 4 stuff on the Denon and see them with so much better clarity than before! Yippee!!!

Great Googily Moogily! I hope your floor joists are up to the task, that's gotta be some serious weight between the Oak Entertainment center and all that gear!
Looks very nice, very nice indeed. I know of NHT, but are those fronts actually large center channels or simply fronts designed to be layed on their side? What about the Krell converter? Tell me more about it and what it does and how you feel it performs. Also, yes, more pics....I wanna see the Velo 15" sub! (ps...are the pics deceiving or do need to do some dusting in those side enclosures holding all the gear? ) |

latest update
Well, we took the plunge and dumped the Denon receiver for Anthem AVM30 and P2 and P5 amps. All I can say is "Whoa!!" What a difference. We've been spending the past month just popping in stuff just to hear the difference. This is by far the largest improvement we've made to the sound thus far.

Sweet gear! Which DVD player do you use more often, the Denon or the Yamaha?
Peace...

Re: ScottnKat's Home Theater Setup
We use the Denon much more than the other DVD player. Although both DVD players are run through the CenterStage before going to the TV, the picture from the Denon is quite superior. And of course the sound is better on the Denon too. The only time we use the other is when we get the occasional DVD that the Denon won't play.
