Looks great! I'll bet that SVS packs a nice punch!

What kind of receiver/speakers are you using?

HDTV:Sony 30XS955
DVD Player SONY DVP-NC875V
Receiver: Yamaha HTR-5730
5.0 Speakers: Crappy Yamaha Speakers
.1LFE Sub: SVS PB-10-ISD,It is the heart and soul of my HT. After watching Master and Comander or War of the Worlds I have to put all the pic's back on the wall Well not quite even though I have shaken one or two off the entertainment center.
Upgrade Roadmap: No Blue-Ray or HD-DVD player until the war is over or a combo player which I would buy in a heart beat today and hdmi 1.3 is finished.
New Reciver until HDMI 1.3 or some other way of decoding DD-TRUEHD and DTS-HD
Then there is the speaker delima. I want one of the following brands: NHT, B&W, and SVS. For the price my wife want the SVS-SBS-01 and those are hopefully coming Christmas 06.

I feel sorry for your sub, having to touch Dare Devil is just not right.

I have been obsessed over my system's audio over the last couple of months. I have my Athena's and my SVS sub, but the single greatest improvement I have made is acoustically treating my room. I have been doing heavy reading on the subject on various web sites including AVS, Audioholic's, and Home Theater Shack. I learned and used Room Eq software although it is difficult to run on my Macbook (damn you window's people don't you have a virus to catch )
So anyway I finally got my wives blessing to build absorption panels and bass traps. So after ton's of research I went and bought some Owen's Cornings 703 fiberglass panels which is the foundation of these devises. They are 2'x4'x2" each. They are going to be framed in pine and covered in Guilford of Maine fabric. My father built the frames at his woodshop 40 mins away so I won't get them until monday and my wife is still trying to decide which color she wants out of the 10 samples she had sent to the house.
So the day after Valentines day I went to a insulation warehouse and bought 6 panels at a total of $66. So I placed two panels at the early reflection point on each side wall. I then placed two panels stacked against two corners for my bass traps unframed so they are ugly as sin.
The Result: Oh My F**king Goodness the bass was tight not boomy in the least. I have to lower my sub level 8 dbs that it gained with the traps. And with the panels at my early reflection points my sound from all five channels is dead on pinpoint. My wife was so impressed she now wants to treat the front wall and treat the back wall with removable panels for movie time only so she says. Needless to say I have been watching movies with bass and surround affects non stop breaking only for food and drink (Jameson Irish Whiskey and Diet Dr Pepper), but only in moderation.
I will finish framing them on monday then wrap them when the cloth arrives via mail.
I may post pics on my fliker site of the ugly unfinished work today or tomorrow.
